Lovely well equipped and well furnished house with 3 nice bedrooms and a comfy sitting room and good kitchen. The listing shows very well what you can expect. Lovely views over Loch Long. Very comfortable cottage and we found no fault at all-- though of course we can't review the weather !:) We enjoyed our stay. Photos taken on a gorgeous day with Arrochar at its best.

We loved Kay and Jim's beauful house and particularly the lovely outside seating area looking out across Loch Long and the Arrochar Alps. We were fortuate to have uncharacteristically spectacular weather for Argyll and got out and about to many beautiful gardens, woodlands, lochs and towns. The house was spotlessly clean and very comfortable, with everything we needed. Many thanks

Clean and cozy cottage with amazing views of Loch Long and the Arrochar Alps. Jim & Kay were very responsive on any questions and were great to work with. Many sites are within 2-2.5 hours of the cottage making it a great home base!

The place is really nice! Well equipped kitchen and everything was very clean. The main bedroom has a beautiful view over the Loch and of the mountains. The road out front is quiet, much more so than on the opposite side of the lake. There is a nice pub nearby but better for a beer than for dining.

This is one of the nicest holiday rentals we’ve ever stayed in. Such a well maintained, thoughtfully equipped, cosy and comfy house. We were there over Christmas and so cooked a huge amount - very well equipped for cooking, right down to actual sharp knives!!

We had a lovely week long stay. The location is ideal to explore Loch Lomand and the west coast. Great pub a few steps away, as well as a village shop. The cottage was beautifully decorated and very comfortable with everything you could need. And the views are beautiful.

The cottage is perfect and more than lived up to our expectations. Stunning views, we were lucky to have great weather which enhanced the scenery. Local Village Inn and Ben's Bothy great if you want to eat and drink local. Lots to do in the surrounding area. The walk to the cobbler well worth a go. One of the best holidays we have had.

We spent four restful nights at the cottage. The location is great for local walks and the outlook is spectacular. With a car you have so many options for walks, cruises, castles, and scenic drives. There are lots of birds and the cottage has absolutely everything you need and more.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this lovely property - which was a home from home. Never slept in such a comfortable bed whilst away from home!
Kay & Jim were excellent hosts - fast communication and great help/support. Welcome pack gratefully received.
Very comfortable property, extremely clean & well decorated, with all the home comforts you could expect. Extremely well stocked kitchen, utility room was a godsend (given the weather we had - although this did not upset our stay). We could not fault the house, but were sorry not to have been able to make use of the outdoor area/furniture, given the beautiful views.
The village is quaint, enjoyed eating at Village inn and Cu Mara. Missed the Chippy opening hours and didn't make it to the Bothy sadly. Some lovely walks locally too. Petrol station in the village was useful.
Visited Luss - very picturesque and some great places to eat (bistro and Loch Lomond Arms). Also Drovers Inn was good for atmosphere - on the way to Falloch Falls. Loved Oban and took the 2hr wildlife boat trip across to Mull - that was great. Glen Coe was beautiful, enjoyed climbing Ben Nevis - even in the rain, enjoyed Fort William generally and saw Neptune's Staircase. Also took the trip on Jacobite Steam train - very worthwhile. Took a boat trip on Loch Lomond from Balloch, which we enjoyed and was good value. Most trips were recommended in the welcome instructions by Jim & Kay - for which we thank them.
Great property, definitely recommend.

Kay and Jim's cottage is a perfect base for exploring the area. It was spotlessly clean and had all the essentials needed whether you stayed in or headed off for the day. All descriptions were very accurate, everything was very simply explained in the house booklet and it was a very charming place to be - made all the better by having a fabulous week with the weather. It really is a beautiful area. There is a delightful area to sit outside in the evening to watch, over the loch, the sun go down behind the mountains. A very comfortable cottage indeed.
The cottage is literally the last house in the village as you head out towards Helensburgh but the local Village Inn is a two minute walk away and we would certainly recommend the Cu Mara bistro further along the road as a place to eat.
The driveway takes a little bit of navigating to make sure you go up the initial slope correctly, but that was the only very minor inconvenience and, once you have cracked it, all is good.
An absolutely delightful week away, thank you Kay and Jim.
