Loved the views, the facilities and the friendly staff. The grounds are really well kept, there is a restaurant, bar, pool, different entertainment available each day. The lodge was also great with everything you need for a self catering holiday.
It was quickly rectified but the bed sheets on our bed ,when we arrived, were really wet. As in they felt like they had been taken out of the washing machine and not put in the dryer. It was strange as you really could not have not noticed this when you were making the bed so I was left questioning why a staff member would happily put them on the bed in the first place! As I said this was quickly rectified though and would not prevent us from staying again.

Lots of activities on for kids even through the week when it was a bit quieter they still had things on for us. We got use of the pool everyday and could go more than once a day if we wished to as we bought a ticket that lasted the length of our stay. Entertainment was also available through the week some days through the afternoon and every night. Staff all very friendly and approachable and able to answer any questions we had. Plenty walks round the village with different levels of walking abilities and close to hill walks, boat trips, waterfalls!! And we can't forget the location and views 😍 no wonder Douglas and Jean Campbell wanted to start a site on their farm what a fabulous view to share with everyone that visits ! A beautiful part of our country.
We took our own swimming towels with us but didn't realise they didn't provide towels in the caravan we stayed in except a few hand towels which was ok for the time we were there but might have been handy to have a towel set each and some dish towels. Drinks at the bar were a bit pricey but its much the same everywhere and they probably can't help that. In the arcades the change machines only worked 1 night we were there but luckily we took change with us for the kids, just a tip for anyone else going.

The views and location were amazing. it was peaceful was peaceful and tranquil I love that it is dog friendly
on arrival we were given wrong lodge number. went there to find guests present. looked at key in envelope, completely different lodges. went to this lodge to find patio door in locked open position so required a trip back to reception to ensure it was A, the correct lodges and B to get maintainance. once this was all fixed, later that evening went to use the hot tub and the bar on lid was very rickety making it near on impossible to open as you should do, on closer look this had been previously damaged and an attempt to repair, information which would have been useful on check in to be honest. The cabin itself was nice a few cobwebs but other than this clean and clear. after 2 nights which were lovely it was time to check out. I always strip the bed, on striping one of the beds I found blood stains on the duvet, this is unacceptable in any form. I was totally disgusted and made me feel that the price paid for the two nights was way to high fir the service provided or the lack of detail provided. this was a total shame as the location is beutiful and the staff were mostly very pleasant, helpful and welcoming it is just a shame that we encountered these issues otherwise I may have considered another visit to see if this was isolated incident. The dog had an amazing time and I can only say that incidents lovely but I lost time out of only two dats due to mix up, maitaninace and totally unimpressed with whole duvet situation. ( for what is charged a replacement duvet is nothing )
