A beautiful safe location, room too expensive for what was offered off season.

Breakfast was amazing, The room was clean and the cleaning personnel were amazing and friendly. The common areas have a spectacular view and the conference area was well organized.

The outside pool isn't heated, and the indoor pool was closed for two days while I was there. On the other days, swimming was impossible because children were jumping all over. The room was quite a distance from the hotel center and was more basic than expected for a level 4 hotel.

Cozy hotel with a seaside view

The hotel is very well located, near the coast and right next to the bus line #6 which goes to the old town (15 min ride). Breakfast is great, the dinner buffet is good too. The indoor pool is ok, nothing special but the outdoor pool and pool area look great, I went off season though so it was too cold. I also really like the spa.

I thought the indoor pool would be nice. Of course the location is a bit far from the old town but I knew that. Prices for sandwiches are too steep (18€).

Great choice for families with children

We chose Valamar Lacroma Hotel for our last night in Croatia after a 10-day road trip around the country looking to relax and have fun as a family, and it delivered! We were able to check in one hour before we were supposed, to check out one hour later and to enjoy the facilities until our departure. The size of the room was adecuate and we had a terrace. The room was clean and the bed and pillows were comfortable. Complimentary coffee, tea and water. We enjoyed the private beach (access through the 5-star hotel located in the same compound after a 5-minute stroll), the outdoor and indoor swimming pools, the slides and the kids playground). There was live music played in one of the terraces in the evening. The breakfast buffet was just mesmerizing with cold cuts, vegetables, eggs cooked in various forms, cheese, olives, bread, omelette stations, cereals, fruit and so much more. We’ve had a wonderful time!

The closest supermarket is at about a 15-minute walk, so if you buy bottled water at the hotel, you’ll be charged 5 euros/bottle. The hotel management should consider requesting guests to wear a swim cap in the indoor swimming pool.

Huge hotel with great facilities, a good breakfast and amazing beds

Size of room, very large comfy bed and pillows. Great swimming pool outdoors with plenty of seating and a good gym . Staff were all very friendly and helpful.

Hot water heater at breakfast to make English hot tea was incredible slow to provide hot water. Resulting in a queue. And me not wanting to go back for a second cup. There was also no English breakfast tea bag’s in the bedroom, nor any cold milk - so I had to keep going downstairs to get this from the bar.

Great variety in that you could use the pools in the other sister hotels in the area. Very good layout where you never felt the hotel was full even though it was. Staff were great. Pool area really good.

The gym was tiny for the number of people. Within 30 minutes of opening it was full. Maybe leave it open 24 hrs since it isn’t supervised. Other than that I couldn’t fault the hotel.

Really good hotel but various minor annoyances.

The grounds of the hotel are excellent. They are well kept and have great views. There is also a private beach accessible through the Valamar President hotel (though you have to pay for sunbeds). The pools are large and spacious and there is an indoor heated pool. Breakfast is really good too and varied. Rooms were generally clean and had mostly everything we needed. Showers are powerful and hot, views from the balcony are great, and WiFi worked perfectly throughout. The location is also perfect - in a quite place close to beaches but 2 mins from the bus stop to the Old Town or a 10 min walk to the Lapad town centre.

There are a number of annoyances that mean I've lowered their rating. I've had to go to reception a number of times to ask for things. The cleaners didn't replace empty tissues so we had to ask. Even though we had three guests, they only give one key as standard which is annoying, so we had to go and get that fixed. The blankets are smaller than the width of the bed so we had to go and get extra blankets otherwise only one person can use them at a time. They have this weird rule that you need to inform them if you are checking in after 8pm. Why? Never seen that before in a 4* hotel and it just adds stress for no reason. The AC also keeps resetting itself to some random temperature every time you pull out the key. They should just fix these things without anyone having to ask. The rooms are also too small if you have 3 adults in a room.

The property is lovely and very clean. Most of the staff are genuinely friendly and helpful. The terraces offer a stunning view, perfect for enjoying a glass of wine or a cup of coffee. The rooms are spacious and comfortable.

The food at Olive and Mezino bars is quite average. Considering the prices and the level of guests the hotel attracts, the quality and flavor of the food should be better. Additionally, the rooms lacked basic amenities typically expected in hotels, such as slippers or bathroom essentials like cotton pads or cotton swabs.

If this was a cheap hotel, I’d be more than happy. However this is the most expensive hotel we’ve stayed in, in 9 weeks travelling through France (Paris and south), Italy and Croatia. The breakfast buffet was really good. Our bed was comfortable. The lobby bar cocktails and snacks and staff were really good.That’s all I have to say positive about this hotel.

Our first room view for $500 per night was of the carpark. So I requested a room change at reception, (which I’d previously emailed multiple times to upgrade, with NO RESPONSE) and we were changed to water view. Half our view was of a brick wall, the other partially obscured by full height metal privacy screen, why? No idea….) However the partial distant view of the Adriatic Sea and islands over the top of the resort in front of us was spectacular. Our ensuite had mouldy grout and the silicone seal was half peeled off and hanging down from the glass shower screen. The cleaning staff were very friendly but they whizzed through in 5 minutes so don’t expect fresh mugs or glasses! Dirty crockery stays in your room. Half the reception staff are very friendly, the other half need lessons in how to smile and be courteous. MAIN COMPLAINT…. YOU HAVE TO PAY €25 for sun lounges at the very small beach in front of the hotel, even though the hotels are part of the same chain! And the beach is all stones and then large rocks in the water. However the water of the sea is blissful and if you have reef shoes, you’re fine. We would have been happy to go to the pool, but the large rectangle ugly pool was not at all inviting. Overall, the hotel is rundown and lots of the garden water features are turned off and in disrepair. Very disappointing, as it would have been nice in its heyday. Now it’s just a money grab with no funds spent on maintenance and improvements. My photos are of the direct route down to the beach, so ugly! I’m flabbergasted. Wish I could upload more than 4 photos!

The property is excellent the facilities are tremendous for adults and kids .. the Mark centre for my son who is 8 years was excellent ,,, he loved it so much that he just wanted to be there … the staff at the Mari centre are excellent .. at this hotel all the staff are very contours and helpful … they go beyond the normal to make sure you are very comfortable … this property has access ro the other hotel facilities on the same key card … which is very user friendly as I used the beach of the sister hotel and billed to my room from there …. Excellent place for families for sure

It wasn‘t clean - the carpet wasn‘t properly vacuumed (in the room and outside) before and during my stay. In our 4 days there, the same garbage was lying around. Same with the indoor pool - you could find the same Plasters inside & outside the indoor pool for 2 days.
