Beautiful stay!

The most beautiful hotel & views. They were so welcoming and great with the kids. Even gave us a little treat for my birthday. The rooms were lovely and the food was really good! Amazing customer service too!

The location and views were stunning! Staff were very helpful.

Location is fantastic! Shame about the food. Breakfast was really good but no one explained about how it all worked. By the third morning we found the egg station (superb omelette and eggs over easy) which was busy but looked after by 2 outstanding chefs! Each of the Royal hotel’s restaurants serve slightly different menus but nothing outstanding. Expensive! They would benefit from offering a more varied menu in each hotel. The gym is good and has a water fountain. A bit surprising that a 5* hotel didn’t supply bottle water in the rooms, other than the first day of arrival. The spa is lovely with helpful staff, but lacked the overall finesse of an actual spa experience. Feels like these hotels are in their infant years and just needs tweaking here n there. But, the stunning views, comfortable beds and rooms were fabulous!

We came to Dubrovnik on our honeymoon, and the location and hotel did not disappoint. All the staff are extremely polite and friendly, and the hotel has many restaurants to choose from. All within a few minutes walk, plenty of pools and sun loungers and great access to the sea. Extremely clean hotel.

Perfect place for perfect vacation

The hotel is located close the seafront (unfortunately, the rocky entrance and deep water require swimming skills),4 swimming pools (including a covered one). The long promenade is perfect for jogging, and the restaurants will satisfy gourmets. The Ariston Hotel is part of a complex of interconnected hotels. The service is excellent, and the breakfasts are varied and delicious. I recommend rooms with a sea view

Very good 5 day break.

Everything, the breakfast was delicious and had everything you wish to have. Staff were very attentive and nothing was a problem for them. Nice to see staff with a smile. Room was great and cleaning staff were great. The view from room was just stunning. The manager (Kresto, I think is the spelling) was really good at his job, nothing was a problem for him. When we had a request, he came up with the correct solution.

Too many steps ( not good for old people with a bad back ). Nothing really to complain about as the hotel provided everything you could wish for. Stay was not long enough, we will return.

Great views, beautiful big hotel without feeling packed in!

We had a great stay at this hotel (we stayed at the Royal Princess and Royal Palm). Staff at the hotel were friendly, the renovated rooms were really stunning (Royal Palm?) and the facilities were really good and varied. Breakfast was great (egg station etc) and we at the the Castilla restaurant one night and it was our best meal of the trip. Portions at the beach bar were massive - you could definitely share a main. You could also always get a lounger whatever time of day, which shows you were feeling packed in even though it was August peak. The view of the bay is amazing, well worth getting an ocean front room.

The staff who worked at the bar for the beach were not very friendly!

Hotel with good value for money

The room was huge and bed was very comfortable. The location is secluded, although a short taxi ride away from the Dubrovnik old town. The room had a nice view on the Adriatic. The staff was helpful and professional.

I did not like the breakfast. The hotel has lot of architectural barriers and confusing corridors.

Absolutely not 5 star. There are a number of hotels that share the reception and other areas which feels like a mega large 4 star holiday resort, this is a marketing ploy which sells you a 5 star hotel with shabby 4 star facilities. Feel cheated.

Sea view paradise

The hotel is part of a complex of buildings, isolated and well maintained, the common areas are beautiful. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and the beds and pillows are very comfortable. The breakfast had variety and many options. There are some restaurants at the complex, some of the reviews were not promising but we had dinner at the pizza restaurant and everything was amazing. We had a sea-view room and sleeping with the sound of the waves was an amazing experience.

The quality of the drinks at the breakfast was not corresponding to a 5-star hotel. The hotel is very large and it will be better if there were clearer instructions on how to reach certain parts of the hotel.

EVERYTHING! This property is beautiful. Still too cool to use the pool which I would’ve enjoyed. The bus stop is 100 meters from the hotel which made getting to Old Town very convenient. The views from my room and the hotel itself were amazing!

Great Luxury Resort Right on the Water near Dubrovnik!! Would Stay There Again!

We loved that we had a complete, unobstructed sea view and that the hotel was quiet / right on the ocean. The beds were very comfortable, the bathrooms modern and clean, and we even had AirCon in our room (which I was worried about b/c I was pregnant when we stayed there and comfort was really important to us). We also loved the breakfast buffet. They had great options and an outdoor terrace, with made-to-order omelets. We would absolutely recommend that anyone stay here. We loved the spa / sauna. The indoor pool was really lovely on the days that it was too chilly to be by the water. The rocky beach access felt safe and clean. And there were multiple other outdoor pools to choose from.

This hotel is ~a 10 Euro Uber / Taxi ride from downtown Dubrovnik. We did this intentionally b/c we wanted to stay somewhere quiet, but there's not a lot within walking distance of the resort. Something to keep in mind. Also, it seemed like there were some growing pains with the wait, pool, and restaurant staff as they got ready for high season. Some of the restaurant / poolside service was slow or just inflexible.

4th time at the same hotel chain, we would come again

+location +mattress comfy, u can block out the sunlight competely and sleep +breakfast with enough choice +possible to take long walks by the shore +many pools so everyone can find what suits them

-cleaningness in the spa has to improve -sauna - the wood has not been cleaned once, also getting water is not regular, no refill of body lotion for two days -we were not given room with king size even asked for in advance, other room had twin beds put together, we were asked to adjust it ourselves - no sunbeds, umbrellas by the sea, even in days when the weather was nice, which is a pity -not enough umbrellas by the pools, no one to ask

Fabulous stay at a lovely hotel with great facilities.

The gym manager, Danijela was extremely accommodating and kindly opened the gym earlier so I could exercise before trips, this was really appreciated and one of the reasons we decided to stay at the property. Staff were also very friendly, breakfast was excellent and rooms spacious and clean. A fantastic visit, thank you!

Absolutely perfect stay which far exceeded my expectations

What a fabulous stay. I went with a friend and we shared a twin room which was lovely and spacious. Breakfast was amazing and enjoyed the omelette station most mornings. The omelettes were freshly made while you waited. The view from our room was spectacular and we enjoyed sunset drinks every evening at the pool bar on the top floor of the Royal Blue Hotel adjacent to us.

hotel and room were lovely, we hadn't realised it was part of 5 hotels! Great for going around different pools. the bus into the old town was only a 5 min walk from the hotel and just 2 euros. All staff friendly and very helpful.

The pools could have been cleaner, especially the one on the roof of the Blue hotel, the tiles were needing a good scrub. Very busy at breakfast. The access into the sea could be better, im not sure how they would do it, maybe some non slip matting.
