Broken and dirty

Good location for us. Strong shower pressure

Shower height regulator broken. Lounge TV remote broken. Cutlery drawer front broken, coffee machine, broken. Bath extremely grimy with black limescale. Here was our message to owner. "Remote for large telly not working, tried switching batteries, nothing. Part missing from coffee machine. Loo seat broken. Shower height regulator broken. Bathroom also rather mouldy.(turned out to be uncleaned limescale)" Their reply "Noted! Not sure on tv the last guests didn't mention is that the bedroom or lounge? Bathroom is due an upgrade I agree apologies.""Not sure again guests haven't reported this to me. There is normal coffee and tea on the shelf will sort these issues out after your departure apologies" not very helpful!

Great location, lovely flat.

Location was good, very quiet and a short drive to city centre. Snack box was a nice surprise. Enjoyed seeing the graffiti art in the area. Will definitely stay again if we visit Bristol, would recommend.

Welcoming pack for children, Amenity of Netflix, phon charger etc. kitchen supply for convenience. Easy access to city center, there is McDonald Tesco express Thai restaurant Indian restaurant within walking distance.

Can’t locate where the flat is without asking for people for directions; No amiable on street parking or private driveway, but an allocated space, which was occasionally occupied by neighbours; not decent communal space but narrow staircase filled with smell of weed (which is upsetting if you take children); Boiler is old style, takes time waiting for water to become hot; induction hob is old and its screen broken, also takes time waiting for it cooling down completely before it starts with heating again; toilet floor feels squashy when stepping on; dishwasher door won’t open fully which makes loading into bottom drawer very difficult.

Excellent stay

The host was exceptional! Very responsive, accommodating and kind. The flat was great, spacious for a family of 4 (with large suitcases), and well equipped. Even had a box of snacks! The accommodation is at Bedminster which is out of Bristol's centre, but we really liked the area and there was a bus stop 2 minutes away.

Amazing Apartment - 10/10

Everything! - The location is nice, peaceful with Tesco and local shops and a few good places to eat along the road. Perfectly connected to the bus and train routes. - bus stop at a 2 min walk and train station at 10 min walk. The apartment itself is amazingly clean and kept up to date. The kitchen is well lit with all utensils and a few things and even a functional coffee maker. It has a washing machine, a vacuum cleaner and 2 TVs in the apartment. The living room was big enough. The sweetest thing was that when we arrived a small basket of snacks was kept with all the instructions and information on the apartment. The beds were comfortable with clean sheets and duvets. I had taken my parents and they were very happy with the place - felt like home. 10/10 recommended.

- The host, Mark, is very responsive, friendly, and helpful. - It's a 2-room apartment for a reasonable price, which is rare. - Clean - Strong and hot shower! - Modern heat radiators that were easy to use and worked well, all around the house - Smart TVs in living room and one bedroom, worked well though we hardly used them - Nice kitchen amenities (ninja blender, microwave, oven) and some condiments like pepper and oil provided (no salt though) - Self check-in process which allows you to arrive at a flexible timing (NOTE the key box is on the right of the door leading into the apartments - it is rather inconspicuous and we searched for quite a while upon arriving at night) - Free/designated parking spot! - Opposite a Tesco Express, fish & chips shop, and decent Thai restaurant - Location-wise, it is not that near the city centre, if that bothers you - but we knew this, and were fine with it (~25 min walk). It's in the south and supposedly in a 'dodgier' area (were you to read reddit by locals) but we never felt unsafe. The streets are also flat in this part unlike the city centre which was unexpectedly hilly and tiring. We highly recommend walking 10 min to North Street, admiring lots of street art along the way, and chilling for hot chocolate or coffee at a cafe. Then walk a further 30+ min to Ashton Court for lovely hikes, deer parks, and other activities like foot golf. From there, you can even walk to/across the famous Clifton Suspension Bridge from the less-crowded side.

More of room for improvement rather than "didn't like" - While the host has been thoughtful about amenities overall, it would be good to have a fruit peeler or dish-drying rack - Kettle had a serious calcification issue (white flakes were peeling off and floating around inside) - this is easy to address with vinegar, as I informed Mark. He was responsive as always so I believe this will be resolved soon. - A few more hooks in the bathroom (eg. Behind the door) would be great - Mattresses are springy and too soft for our liking, though not the worst we've tried. The pillows too were kinda lumpy already.
