Spacious and comfortable detached one bedroom off of a house

Set down a long driveway with fields on either side this was a short distance outside of Portree. It had pretty views towards the mountains with trees. It was private and spacious. Bed was comfortable, space was large, pillows were great, kitchen had amenities, mudroom was great for taking off shoes and leaving luggage. There were chickens and we briefly saw a dog.

We didn’t get to pet the cute dog. Everything else was great.

What a wonderful apartment, just as we had hoped for! Everything is beautifully arranged with great attention to detail. It feels warm and welcoming, just like home. We truly enjoyed resting, sleeping, and relaxing here during our journey. The view from the window is amazing, with mountains, chickens, sheep, and dogs—it’s simply unforgettable.

Getting here was tough. Suggested giving better directions from main road, with name of the road to turnoff.

This spacious, well-equipped, beautifully furnished apartment is a hidden gem! Close to Portree in a bucolic setting at a small working farm, it is a wonderful home-away-from home at the end of the day. It has everything one needs, including snacks, coffee, tea, and milk. The views of mountains outside the large windows were calming and restful. We enjoyed going to sleep with the soft sound of sheep baa-ing next door.

There is nothing to dislike. It’s perfect.

Fabulous stay

The property is exceptional and just a short 5 minute drive from portree. It is spacious and the bed is very comfortable. A large walk in shower with plenty of hot water. Modern Bosch appliances in the kitchen. The sheep and the back yard picnic table were a lovely treat.

Comfortable and well appointed

Our navigation in the car took us to another property, and we attempted to phone the hosts but could not contact hosts, maybe contact number not correct. We found someone at the other property who was able to give directions to Taigh Geal,and we then saw a sign at the driveway (on the grass and not obvious)

Lovely apartment, very comfortable and cosy.

Lovely location, very clean, comfortable and cosy. Kitchen had everything you would need and fresh milk provided in the fridge. A great place to see out the rainy windy weather. Lots of thought gone into making the apartment accessible for a wheelchair user. The bonus was seeing the lambs in the field nearby as well as, chickens and a rabbit in the apartment's garden

A wonderful, quiet and relaxing stay in a beautiful location.

With a Parking space right outside the front door This ACCESSIBLE spacious apartment was just perfect, its situated on a mixed farm of sheep and chickens in a beautiful sheltered glen a few miles from Portree, the front door leads into a huge lobby which is great for storing coats, boots, bags and suitcases etc, then through the internal door into the open plan well equipped kitchen, dinning and lounge area, the hallway leads to a lovely double bedroom and the wet room is well designed for use with the shower area furthest from the door. Good quality furniture and soft furnishings throughout, underfloor heating and a private garden with stunning views. It was completed in 2024 using the latest building and insulation materials. In a word PERFECTION.

Lieu calme en pleine nature. Les hôtes sont des agriculteurs. Le gîte est accolé à leur maison, il est correctement équipé.

Lors de notte arrivee,nous nous sommes presentés, avons eu le sentiment de deranger.Aucun contact avec nos hôtes, c'est bien dommage .

Angenehm und erholsam mit etlichen Wanderungen und informativen Besichtigungen

Die Wohnung ist nicht weit (knapp 4 km) von Portree mit den dortigen Einkaufsmöglichkeiten entfernt. Sie ist neu und in ausgezeichnetem Zustand mit kompletter Ausstattung. Direkt vor dem Haus im Hof ist genügend Platz zum Parken. Die Gastgeber hatten uns netterweise vorgewarnt, dass im örtlichen Lebensmittelgeschäft noch Versorgungsprobleme bestehen könnten (Hackerangriff). So konnten wir uns darauf einstellen. Interessante Wanderziele (z.B. "The Old Man of Storr", "The Fairy Pools") oder auch das Staffin Dinosaur Museum sind mit dem PKW leicht erreichbar. Lohnenswert ist auch das Dunvegan Castle mit den sehenswerten Gärten.
