Great spacious apartment with a clean pool and everything needed for a stay

Everything about the apartment is great. Of course a good sized, clean pool is the best part, but also the apartment itself is amazing with a lot of space, all the necessary equipment, comfortable beds, and air conditioning in every room. The outdoor area with the grass is so nice to walk on; and several sitting areas + sunbeds. Having breakfasts and dinners outside, on the terrace, felt amazing. The apartment has its character, with little things here and there adding Italian charm. We were met by a friendly host Silvia who showed us in and immediately gave us useful recommendations on grocery stores, restaurants and beaches nearby - which was very helpful. There are several very nice restaurants just around the corner (check La Foresta! Great food and a gorgeous terrace under the olive trees), a few grocery shops close by including one within 2-min walk. There are several nice beaches close by (a walk or a short drive), and although it's not the very-very center of Sirmione, the streets around are bustling with life, the area is beautiful and cozy and you want to be there. We only stayed for 3 nights, but it would have also been great to stay a week or two, the place seems very suitable for longer stays for a family of 4 or more.

DO NOT STAY HERE. Poor consideration and slow response to issues.

A few weeks after leaving and the stay absolutely felt like a scam. I should have seen the review just before mine on July 14th where the exact same thing happened that happened to me. The review said that they followed the directions and the washing machine broke. That they were charged 150 Euros for this. Well I didn't see that review and I can only assume the machine was not yet fixed or fixed incorrectly from this earlier stay. Because a washing machine breaking 2x in 2 weeks couldn't be a coincidence. But that's beside the point. The machine broke, my clothes were locked inside. It took a day for them to come out and unlock the machine and get my soaking wet (ruined) clothes out. For the inconvenience of my clothes being ruined I was ALSO charged 150 Euro, just like the person who stayed in this unit 2 weeks before I did. Was there a receipt for the repair of the machine shown to me? No, there was not. Was there consideration for my ruined expensive clothes? Nope. Just a charge for 150 Euro for a machine that broke 2x in one month. They could have bought a new one with the 300 euro. Seems like they need the money more than I do. Good luck if you stay here.

Lovely property, great pool, good location, it’s a shame the washing machine incident has left a bitter taste.

Unfortunately after using the top loading washing machine provided it became jammed, we used the washer as we thought it should be used but this was seemingly incorrect. A contact with the host resulted in a maintenance person turning up and dismantling the washer, this could have been put back together but wasn’t for the duration of our stay. 4 nights. Whilst i accept that we now know the washer should have been closed differently there were no instructions or guidance provided with the machine or by the host. Our €150 security deposit was withheld and we’ve had no further communication
