This is a lovely hotel in a lovely town centre. I was very impressed. The room was spotless, comfortable and warm. The breakfast was fresh and plentiful. Thank you for a great stay. The hotel is only a 15 minute spin to the ferry. We didn’t manage to get hotel parking, as it was already fully booked, but I parked on a nearby street and would have no hesitation in doing so again. My wife and I were so impressed by Calais and the hotel that we plan to go back and stay for a few nights.

Hotel looks tiered, is divided into several buildings. We booked 2 rooms on the same reservation and were places in different building and tolad that they did not know we were together, this dispute being one booking and having called the night before to ask if it was posyto have one twin and one double instead of 2 twins. Breakfast was also poor.

Very handy location for the ferry. Beds incredibly comfortable. Quite noisy outside due to city centre location. Not enough staff at breakfast so couldn’t maintain supply of plates, knives etc quickly enough or clear tables at peak time. Odd system in the room where you had to press a button before you could open the door. Not sure what the advantage of that is. Layout of family room was nice to give some privacy.

So disappointed with the whole stay. my husband and i are both disabled and on arrival we was told NO parking spaces left first come first serve was what we was told.and we would have to park outside on main road,which meant my husband going and moving the car every 15mins which was the limit. the 1hour 30mins limit where full.no limit after 7pm to 6am which meant he was up early to keep moving the car again. The noise throughout the whole night was caused by drunks screaming and shouting. The bonnet of our car had been sat on with food and drink all over it which left 2 scratches. So very bad and tiring experience

I’m not meaning to be negative with this property, staff were good, breakfast good, room clean. Basic bar on site with pool/football tables to play…. It’s the centre of Calais, I didn’t realise Calais has such a great night life (casino & nightclub over the road) but in this occasion I had an early ferry crossing with small people so didn’t appreciate to good vibes being had outside… other positives were free roadside parking and lots of restaurants nearby, we went to the Italian on the square which was lovely. Also got a great view of the traditional lighthouse

Firstly, upon arrival we were notified there was no parking available, that we should have called to reserve a place and that it was full. There was nothing in the Hotels.com listing to indicate that. We specifically picked this hotel for the parking. The room was very warm when we arrived and we tried to put the air con on but it wasn’t working. We were then advised that because it was September, the air con had been switched off and changed for heating and there was nothing they could do. It had reached 25 degrees that day, and the room was very warm. We tried to leave the window open but being on the main road it was too noisy with bars on the street. As a result we were barely able to sleep. The carpet was dusty, the toilet wasn’t properly clean, the window blind was broken.

We were given two rooms on the rear of the hotel. One up very steep stairs. Asked for bath but did not get one. Tried to exit hotel to cat park to find we were locked in. Very dangerous. Took twenty minutes to get help. Also street noise kept us awake until early hours of the morning.
