Found the staff to be very welcoming. Our room (The Parks) was clean, well equipped and comfortable, and gave us a real "wow factor" when entering. The pub has great character and we enjoyed having a drink in there. Good selection for breakfast, which certainly set us up for our onward travels. We were disturbed slightly by some early morning traffic noise.

Staff are friendly and the drink and food were really nice. Rooms are very well done but I stayed in one room above the pub and the shower had very little pressure. The rooms over the other side of the car park are more modern and really nice

Third time we’ve stayed and dined at the Cricketers. Always great from start to finish Spotless warm room , superb bedding and food is both great value and excellent quality . This particular stay was memorable due to the excellent service at check in dinner and breakfast . Thanks .

We were really looking forward to staying in the cricketers after reading all the good reviews and how close it was to our family who live local, the rooms were clean comfortable and tidy although the breakfast the next morning and service staff were terrible, my wife Son and I stayed here for one night. Got down to breakfast at 9 am and didn’t get even spoken to until nearly 9:30 am and had to wait to be even asked for a cup of tea. We then told to help ourselves to the Continental whilst waiting another 20 minutes before we could order our food so after an nearly an hour of waiting to get a cooked breakfast which we didn’t mind as we see the place was busy with only two Waitresses my wife’s poached egg on toast arrived with the avocado underripe and very hard in ediblle, the waitress then asked if everything was okay and would we like it to be replaced to which we said yes we then had to wait another 25 minutes for a replacement breakfast to come out even though at this point there was only one of a table full of people in the restaurant left everyone else had gone, the poached eggs with avocado round 2 then arrived and the eggs were overcooked again to to the point of them being boiled and hard! At this point we have been in the restaurant 1.5 hours and my wife still had not eaten and the restaurant had closed. They then offered us some pastries or coffee as an alternative which clearly is not good enough as it is not a cooked breakfast. Upon checkout we complained

Spent 2 nights at The Cricketers, had a lovely stay, our room was in The Pavilion annex, spacious room, lovely bathroom, spotlessly clean, comfy bed. We ate both evenings at the pub, the food was wonderful and very tasty. Breakfast was great, with a very good choice. The lady doing the breakfast service was brilliant, so efficient and friendly. Staff were very good, polite and helpful. Very enjoyable stay, we will be back.

Stayed in one of the rooms adjacent to the car park. On a positive, bed and pillows were very comfortable. Let downs were toilet seat broken, window latch broken so couldn’t have window open as it couldn’t be secured .on a hot night this was not acceptable. Water supplied was in a refillable bottle, my pet hate as you don’t know how old it is .

The function is there, and the people are lovely, but just a few of the little things are missing. So the teas in the room didn't have english breakfast. Breakfast itself doesn't start until 7.30 I was told which is too late for me to get to work. And it would have been good to have a showercap bathroom. The food wasn't as well cooked as before. The ends of the asparagus weren't taken off for the starter so it was woody. The lamb however on the mains was cooked very well

The room was clean. The staff were friendly. However the noise meant that we were unable to sleep all night and left at 6.30 in the morning without having a paid for breakfast. 1. The boiler in the service room was on all night making a humming noise 2. Guest in the upstairs room arrived in at 1.30am. The floor boards, bed , bathroom noise was very load and they did not go to bed at all. Very disappointing

Fabulous idyllic village pub with rooms. Food was amazing - evening menu and brekkie - and the room was a very high standard The only downside was the green security light in the room which was bright and was a bit disturbing to my and my hubby’s sleep!

Had an enjoyable 1-night stay. Accommodation was lovely, room was boutique quality and very comfortable. Our evening meal was tasty, service was excellent and the breakfast offerings were very good. Husband enjoyed his full-English especially! Clavering is a quiet, charming hamlet - and well worth a visit - both to the village and The Cricketers.

I was on my own and there was a nice buzz in the restaurant where I felt comfortable. The room was a brilliant size and I could do my exercise programme in it the next morning! The food was great too.

Very high standard of customer service, great room (very cosy). We visited on valentine's and received a complimentary surprise which made the whole experience very special. Big thank you to the team!
