The Green Man by Chef and Brewer Collection

Loved the teapot in the room and real teacups. The outside tables were full of empty glasses & plates the 1st evening I stayed. No tables were bussed. Why? Rarely was there anyone at Reception. Why? Appreciated notices in hallway to remind guests not to disturb others, to close doors quietly etc. Beds were comfy, sheets were good quality, nice pillows. Who thought a wood shelf around the bathroom sink was a good idea?! No noise from neighboring rooms was a pleasant surprise. Shower gel was completely empty. Why no Kleenex in room? Just toilet paper. All in all the best hotel I've stayed in, in Harlow. Thank you for a pleasant stay. I will be back!

Everything was great! Nicely decorated and well equipped room. Friendly staff, great evening meal and sunny garden for lunch. Perfect stay!

Quiet comfortable room. Nicely decorated but it was a little dark. Bed ok. Our ground floor room had a shower over the bath. Good off road parking. Busy pub at the front but no pub noise. Nice evening meal and continental breakfast taken. Restaurant staff very nice and helpful in the evening.

Staff were a little sullen at reception. A smile helps. Room was great as always. All amenities needed. Bed comfortable with great pillows. Quiet and good nights sleep. Wish we hadn’t paid for breakfast - hot food served buffet style on ban Marie which did not keep it hot at all. Toaster took an age to gently brown the bread. Hot water for tea is served from coffee machine which makes it look scummy & not hot enough. Staff were disinterested. There is a lovely cafe around the corner from the hotel which is much better. Parking can be an issue if the hotel is busy but there is a multi storey car park not too far away.
