Nice bar, comfortable and welcoming atmosphere in communal area. Room facilities good, clean and comfortable.

There was some drilling noise in the morning but that is probably temporary from nearby building work. A bit annoying for work on Boxing Day though!

Staff were friendly and engaging. Having a restaurant and bar on site made life easy too - especially for someone travelling to London from Stanstead. Room was comfortable, functional and clean.

Local roadworks made arrival a bit chaotic, and it wasn't immediately clear how or where to park. The Hotel car park is behind a high wall and open to all comers with about 10 spaces, with overflow being direct to a local multi-storey. As it turned out, our vehicle was okay, but paying extra for parking without any security or knowledge that one's vehicle is safe, added unnecessary stress to the stay.

I was the Water Gardens Deputy Nanager 18 years ago so I know the area really well. Therefore I knew the location was excellent and there are facilities nearby

Bathroom was extremely unhygienic, covered in hair. House cleaning staff refused to clean it for two days, despite the condition being reported to front desk twice. No offer of another cleaner room. The aftercare has been terrible as customer service offered a 25% refund on the stay, which would be fine if they actually gave the refund but still have not! Absolutely terrible customer service.

Staff were friendly and very welcoming, food and drink was served very quickly and hot

Only thing I had an issue with was, I had a late check out and unfortunately the side I was staying had building work going on and wasn’t able to enjoy the benefits of the late check out

Noise from next door. Wasn’t dealt with, probably worse than would have been with some soundproofing. Windows could do with a lot more soundproofing too especially due to overlooking a busy road Didn’t know about the scaffolding and works or car park being closed until after I had booked. No handover given from night staff to day staff advising that I had complained in the night about the noise

Very clean and friendly staff I just wanted to take a moment to express my appreciation for the exceptional customer service I received at Holiday Inn Harlow on Saturday, 4th October 2025. The three young ladies at the front desk were outstanding from start to finish. Their professionalism, attention to detail, and genuine enthusiasm for their work stood out immediately. They displayed a clear understanding of their roles, showed real consideration in their approach, and made the entire check-in experience smooth and welcoming. It’s always refreshing to meet staff who not only know what they’re doing but also truly care about the guests they serve. These three members of staff represented the brand exceptionally well, and I left with a lasting impression of first-class service.

I booked this hotel knowing I would have just finished a 16 hour shift working on an ambulance. Booking.com says parking is included- it wasn't and the staff member was just so rude and slow. She could see i was tiered and just patronised me at every opportunity. The shower was dirty and moldy and while I have often stayed in other locations and loved it i wont be staying in Harlow ever again i will go to the Harlow travelodge for better service and nicer staff

Unfortunately, the experience fell far below acceptable standards for the following reasons: 1. Unhygienic Corridor • The corridor had a strong, persistent stench. Initially, the night shift staff suggested it came from another room, but after I pointed out the exact area, they agreed it was sewerage-related. 2. Heating and Air Conditioning • Neither the air conditioning nor the heating system was working in both rooms I had booked on the same floor. • No alternative accommodation was offered. Instead, two small desk blowers were provided, which caused discomfort to both me and my young nephew by drying out our nasal passages. 3. Accessibility Needs Ignored • Despite my booking notes clearly stating that a Blue Badge holder was travelling, I was allocated standard rooms without consideration of accessibility requirements. 4. Poor Standard of Furniture • The sofa bed was unusable; the springs were protruding so badly that it was more akin to a worn mattress topper than a bed. I was assured at the time that a refund would be processed. However, it has now been nearly a week, and I have had no contact or confirmation regarding this matter.

rooms are dated, shower gulley was blocked, shower cleanliness not good- black mould on the mastic and build up of scale. ongoing roadworks and renovations made it difficult to locate the hotel entrance and adjacent car park

I paid extra £10 for twin standard room for me and my daughter. I was allocated a standard room with sofa bed. We were not offered any bedding for the sofa bed. When asked was given a duvet and cover only unpackaged. I would have expected a bedding bundle sealed for sofa beds to be allocated. I was advised that the carpark would be closed from Oct only to find it shut on my arrival, I would not have chosen your hotel if this was informed to me prior to my arrival. We were not informed that building work would begin noisy works at 9am especially on a Saturday.

the room was bigger than we expected , comfortable bed . Nice large clean shower .Usb chargers by the beds , very handy . Plus ironing board and iron in the room , which saved a trip to reception . Great breakfast as well

the weird , sensor lights in the dark corridors that lit up section by section like something out of the film the Shining . a bit creepy

The reception staff were very polite and friendly who tried helping as best as possible, the Greek girl we had was so easy to talk to *sorry I cant take her name*, the shower was clean and big a nice quiet location

Bookings advised there is parking but they have renovations taking place which means yoi dont have parking at this hotel until January 2026 which was not advised so had to pay and park at the multi storey car park short drive away, the bed was not the comfiest good Job we were absolutely exhausted.
