Club Del Sole Tenuta Primero Grado Family Collection

We spent a nice family holiday at Tenuta Primero. We stayed in a superior cottage which was brand new and well equipped for self catering. The title "cottage" is a little misleading, in my opinion, as it is not a house built from bricks, but a container-type accommodation. However, it was very clean and had everything we needed, including towels and aircon. It was a little small, but we spent most of the day outdoors anyway. It was a shame we couldn't make more of the spacious veranda in the evenings because of the mosquitos, but the campsite is well prepared for that, with nets on all windows of the cottage. I think the location of our cottage wasn't ideal as a digger started working right next to it at 8am. But we couldn't really be upset about it, as our 2-year-old hugely enjoyed the daily spectacle! Other cottages are located under leafy trees and close to the beach. The beach is a long stretch of land with several playgrounds and a cute beach bar, and it is great for playing and going for walks. We personally did not use it for swimming because of crabs and seagrass, but that is just what the sea is like in this area. We went to the pools instead which our toddler enjoyed-although it would have been nice if they had been heated. There is a great quality supermarket, restaurant, pool bar, and ice cream bar on the site which are not at all overpriced. All staff are very friendly. And we took a trip to Barbana island on a boat from the Marina, which was a fun experience.

The customer service was great and friendly even though I didn't speak Italian. The suite is not a traditional hotel which threw me off for a bit in finding its location. The room was spacious and it came with a fully stocked fridge with free goods. It was in a nice location in Grado, although Grado wasn't that nice we were able to drive to other cities.
