Room only so didn’t try the restaurant but lovely public areas with beautiful floral decorations ready for Halloween. Didn’t try the leisure facilities there was an extra £10 charge which was disappointing. Staff extremely welcoming and happy to provide ideas for local eateries which are plentiful within 5 minute stroll of hotel. Beautiful city to explore

Decent hotel, in a pretty much perfect location. Gymnasium usage was complimentary (but the facility wasn't very good). Use of the pool/jacuzzi carried an additional charge, even if you were a hotel guest. Parking also carried an additional charge. Very clever, seeing as guests would be charged to park anywhere else they found nearby.

The room was large but my air conditioner didn’t work and the bed felt worn/old. I mentioned it to the desk and they put a mattress topper on the bed which really fixed the issue. The windows opened and in late August with the fan in the room - I was comfortable. The comfort of the rest of the hotel and the fantastic sauna, pool and hot tub made up for the bed and air con to the point that I will definitely stay here again!

This was my second stay this year with the last approx 5 months ago. On that occasion, the air conditioning was not working in the more expensive privilege rooms and the staff informed me they knew, and this had been the case for months. With the recent warm weather, I checked the website to make sure the privilege rooms are being listed as including having air conditioning as they are more expensive and in fact, they do confirm this as a feature. Low and behold, five months on there is still no air-conditioning, but they are happy to take your extra money and promote it.

Stay here quite often on business and unfortunately there seems to be a gradual decline in maintenance and general condition. The air conditioning in the rooms is still not working and in the room I had this time the TV would not function. It’s not a cheap hotel and the service/ food and pool area usually great however the rooms themselves really need some attention.

We had a lovely room and free drinks were put into our fridge everyday but didn’t get any milk or teabags, the bed was awful springs protruding everywhere and I came home with a bad back and pillows were not much better. But the worst thing of all was for 4 nights of our 5 the toilet stopped flushing and we had to call maintenance in for those days , we were told they ordered the correct part but it had not arrived before we left but worse than that was the raw sewage smell in the bedroom, however we were greatful for working air con as we heard a lot of people complaining they had none. We were offered a couple of drinks vouchers but when we went to use them we could only have certain drinks to be quite honest I think they should have at least refunded or gave us some meal vouchers . Was such a shame as we had looked forward to our stay and now I feel even more stressed than before I went

Stayed here before and previously had issues with the air conditioning which again on this trip was broken leading to an uncomfortable nights sleep. Otherwise love this hotel, great pool, breakfast and service. Staff apologised and offered free drink etc but being able to sleep in a cool room is an essential for me so would make me think twice about booking again.

Hotel lovely. Room needs new carpet etc. electric points on wall were not fully secured. Air con not working but given free parking as a sweetener. Telephone in room not working so unable to call reception . Had to use my mobile to ring through to reception - twice…… as my request was not followed up first time so rang again after an hour of waiting. … . Request was for more tea bags as only one everyday tea bag in room- for two of us. Only 4 small milk pots to make tea in morning. But …. We were staying for my daughter’s graduation and the note & chocolates left in the room for her were a lovely touch.

I checked in on an incredibly hot day when the air conditioning wasn't working as it should. The lady at reception moved my room without being asked to make sure the room I was checked into had air con. When I got to my room, it had clearly been prepared with the heat in mind - the curtains were closed against the direct sunlight and a fan was running - the room was lovely and cool, a nice reprieve from the heat outside. Staff are polite and incredibly helpful.
