Spotlessly clean and comfortable. The staff were very helpful and polite at all times

The 2 nights we stayed were extremely noisy. People were shouting and slamming doors after midnight.

Cheap and cheerful

Staff were told extremely friendly and very helpful

The first room I was given was unclean. The room was changed. The new room was slightly better but the floors had not been vacuumed and the tables were not wiped. Bed and bathroom were clean and I was too tired to swap rooms again.

Great hotel.

Nice clean room, friendly helpful staff and good location. Breakfast was really good too. Overall, excellent value for money.

The only negative was the cost of on site car parking, which I thought was excessive, especially when you felt you couldn't use your car in case there wasn't a space available when you returned. There needs to be a better system

Simple and clean, dog friendly room

Central location with good access and clean rooms. Dog-friendly rooms on ground floor were a much appreciated solution for us! We also really thank the staff for their warm welcome and for the free dog-stay over the festive season.

The smell of the breakfast cooking was very strong and permeated the room from about 6am. We were on the 1st floor, so that’s probably why. Breakfast was very average and very busy to access

The door to our room did not lock. We discovered that if you just pushed it, the door would open! (It was late so we put the catch across and went to sleep! We reported this to Reception on check out)

I really enjoyed my stay in this hotel perfect for what I required for a business overnight stay.

I liked the location. It was easy to park. The staff were very friendly, the food was quick to be served. The room was big and very clean and comfortable. There was no noise.

I would have liked to have known that there was on site parking that needed to be paid for.

Perfect long weekend at the Holiday Inn.

Wonderful staff, so friendly and helpful. Comfy beds, great free hot breakfasts, bar, easy to find. We walked into the centre of town within 10 minutes every day. Would defintely book again.

Excellent City stay.!

Everything as room was smart and had everything we needed.

Parking is £16 per 24 hours however is on site and convenient. Breakfast options didn’t have hot chocolate and porridge as advertised.

The breakfast was very good and there was a good choice. The staff were very nice and helpful and the room was comfortable with a good view.

From the location it wasn't very easy to get public transport to other parts of Exeter and other areas. Also, there weren't many places nearby for an evening meal.

It was ok for one night,

Staff extremely friendly, great location

Breakfast was very limited, not much choice and especially for gluten free. Both my children not celiac disease and all it was for them : poor bread, sausage and cornflakes. Breakfast was included in room price and all the rest of the guests had lots to choose from. In comparison to other places where we stayed gluten free breakfast was very poor. And tbh unfair, especially that I informed hotel before our arrival.

Quiet, good location. Clean room. Friendly staff.

Great location, easy walk in to shops etc, quiet, clean. Roomy shower was clean and nice to use with no leaks, with decent toietries! Friendly, helpful staff. Good breakfast, if a little busy.. Sofa bed made up for us when we got there. Decent, clean bed linen.

Room was small for a family, sidling round beds with no floor space. Tiny shelf was v narrow for a kettle and only 2 cups. Worst thing was the pillows which were awful. Hard, lumpy and v uncomfortable. Would easily have scored an 8 if they had decent pillows.
