Food exceptional. Really handy for ferry at Plymouth.

Bed a little too hard for us. Could do with a few hooks in bathroom. Staff at breakfast seemed unaware, that we should get fruit juice at the same time as our cups etc.

Ok but you must arrive in daylight.

Staff were nice

I arrived after 10pm and couldn’t get inside. Pub door locked and lights were out and I couldn’t find entrance of hotel and in torrential rainstorm. I nearly gave up but cleaning lady let me in. Sat nav took me very strange way - I wasted 30 minutes going round an industrial park. Room was outdated.

Long weekend

Accommodation was very clean and tidy, and I absolutely loved the shower. Gel smelt amazing, I wrote the name of it down, so I buy some . Food was great, generous portion sizes. The staff were very friendly and very busy.

There was a lot of noise in the corridor from other visitors, who obviously have no consideration for others.

Location. Charlotte was very helpful at check-in.

Room was “tired” - needing updating. Not enough staff:- left two messages for a call back before my stay, neither returned; at breakfast, no-one to greet us and when we hadn’t followed the process we knew nothing about we were spoken to in a curt manner by the front of house lady.

Stop gap to Cornwall, arrived from Bromsgrove 5 hrs traffic 🫣 exhausted, an overnight break, a Toby evening meal & breakfast to start our journey to Hayle.

Everything was fine as expected. A night stay is a must for such a long journey. Refresh & be safe.

The room was ok very stuffy and the fan provided didn't help. Strange drain like smell in the bathroom. There were sticky marks on the carpet. I wouldn't want to spend more than 1 night here

Once we got the correct room it was ok but booking in was very stressful and even though they could see in needed an accessible room and that is what i requested. they put us in a room where i couldnt even get in the bathroom

The staff were not very helpful until i complained in the restaurant in full earshot of others. I asked why they did not give me the room i requested and told them if they didnt have the room then they should have informed me at the time so i could seek alternative accomodation. Suddenly then they said they had an accessible room available and put us into a more suitable room with an accessible bathroom. why they just didnt do that i dont know, but it seems that the girl on reception also worked the bar and did waitressing, maybe you need more staff..

Specifically asked for singles beds and booked singe beds, only to be told you don't have them. So had to share a double with my step-son. Room was not cleaned after first night, we hadn't asked for it not to be. Toby carvery was a terrible place to eat for my vegetarian step-son. he ordered a "wrap" and it turned out to be a cheese and pickle sandwich on white bread, with quite randomly a bowl of roast potatoes (which he left as not sure they weren't cooked in animal fat.). We therefore didn't eat there again or have breakfast with them. WiFi barely worked, dropped each time we came back to room and although stating connected didn't have a signal most of the time.
