Charming place 😁

Lovely comfortable room, with everything you need for a relaxing night. Has a smart TV too, which was handy as we were half way through a film on Netflix the night before!

Room was cold. Sheets felt damp. Restaurant advertised as 8-45pm actually closed by 7pm.. and didn’t realise breakfast starts at 9am.. not a lot is use if you are working

Perfect for an overnight stay. Fantastic staff, comfortable room and excellent food

The welcome I received was exceptional. Staff were attentive throughout my stay. The food was excellent. Parking right next to the accommodation was a bonus.

Only a little thing. The heating took a while to come through, and arriving in winter, a heated room would have been the icing on the cake. But that was easily solved by getting a drink in the bar. I returned to a warm room

Great stay even with the cold shower I’d stay again

Great stay at the Blue Ball Inn Staff we’re welcoming & helpful The food was really nice & good value My room was comfortable and a good size

My only problem was with the shower, I had 1 half warm shower and 1 cold shower. Even after letting the water run for 15+ minutes and playing with the settings it wouldn’t get warm.

Great stopover

This was a great place for a stopover on the way down to Cornwall. Comfortable room, good shower and good food.

All good, the TV reception was a bit dodgy but that didn't really bother us.

Good food bad accommodation.

The pub looked beautiful and the outdoor area was lovely we ate here twice and the food was good.

The pub smelt of a fishy ammonia smell which put us off eating inside. Our accomodation was ok, however it was in a very busy road which made it hard to sleep. The room smelt strange and the bathroom smelt mouldy and I couldn’t wait to leave. Air fresheners couldn’t mask the smell. Luckily we didn’t spend much time in our room as we were out day tripping.

Fine for early starters in Rm 1!

Breakfast was fine. Room was generally as expected, though with limits (see 'didn't likes') Staff very pleasant good.

Rooms were basic but adequate, though in a separate block (thankfully not raining) and at 90 degrees to the road. Unfortunately we were in the room VERY near the road which appeared to be a quiet leafy lane when we arrived, but was a very busy through-route from Topsham during early morning & rush-hour. Fine I guess if you are part of that rush hour :) but it felt like we were IN the road! Soundproofing was attempted but fell woefully short I'm afraid) The single bed nearest the door (double made up from 2 singles?) also has a prominent spring down its middle. The room wasn't cheap, considering.

Perfect location with friendly pub, great food and cosy accommodation 3 minutes from the venue.

Staff were friendly and helpful. The property is 3 minutes walk from Sandy Park stadium. The room was clean, comfortable and just what we needed, with free parking.

The room was a little warm in the hot weather. A fan would have been welcome. However, the bathroom window opened onto a secure area and could be left open for ventilation overnight.

Superb & enhanced a brilliant match day experience

Stayed at the pub to attend a rugby match at the adjacent 'Sandy Park', literally 5 mins walk away. The Blueball Inn provides an outstanding match-day experience with excellent food inside (must book a table in advance) and burgers, hot dogs and the like in a superb covered beer garden outside. The room provided was comfortable, well equipped, clean and just right - really enjoyed our stay with the added bonus of an excellent cooked breakfast in the morning (albeit booked on check-in & at additional cost but worth every penny). Brilliant stay and will do so again - thank you

2 nights stay at The Blue Ball Inn

The accommodation was very nice, perfect for our 2 nights stay. The location of the Inn was perfect too for us to go to the Devon County Show. Food was excellent and the staff were very helpful and friendly and nothing was too much trouble for any of them.

I couldn't fault anything, it was perfect.

The food was very nice, and rooms really lovely.. I actually had booked the wrong room as had two separate beds instead of a double.. The staff are really friendly and helpful.

Quaint place with friendly staff. Perfect for our pit stop.

I booked the Blue Ball Inn as a pit stop on my drive from London down to Fowey. We got to the inn around 10pm. We were greeted by the very friendly staff and they fave us some info on our room. We had a night cap and went to bed and left around 7am on the Friday morning. The pub part of the inn was lovely. The room was clean and perfect for a pit stop on the long drive.
