It was ok for one night. The room was small. Drinks were expensive. Parking overnight was also expensive at £16 a night. However reception staff were approachable and helpfull, cleanliness was good and the breakfast good.

Everything was good except the very stained dirty looking chair that spoilt the otherwise spotless room. The chair may have been cleaned but the staining looked disgusting. Surprised as the management should be looking at it from a visitos perspective.

I had a wonderful time at the Holiday Inn Express in Exeter Saint David. While traveling alone, I found this hotel to be the perfect place to relax and unwind. The staff were fantastic—friendly, helpful, and truly made me feel welcomed. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and well-equipped, making it a great spot for a comfortable stay. I also did some research online beforehand, and the hotel's amenities and services lived up to my expectations. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Exeter. I look forward to returning in the future!

Booked just a couple of hours ahead post a week in Cornwall and wanting to see Exeter before heading home Sunday. Great location and handy for stations, the quayside area and shops. We saw the cathedral and visited the super underground passages. Also took the train to Exmouth. Breakfast was included but was SO busy and queues were v long. Staff worked hard managing this v professionally but I felt for them as it simply was chaotic! Ok quality though but I prefer no dogs in the dining area even if they are staying in the hotel. One was barking :( We didn’t realise we had to pay for parking - £16 for a 24 hour stay - no guarantee of a spot either but we were lucky but bear that in mind. Air con was good on a hot night.
