DO NOT STAY HERE

It was close to the New Year's Eve party we were attending.

Do not stay here. None of the beds had been changed. There were short curly hairs, blood, and white stains on the sheets and pillow cases in every room. We discovered this because I sat on one bed and promptly fell through it. We pulled back the worn duvet to discover not only the disgusting sheets, but the fact that the slats were not attached to the bed frame. We phoned the owner who came with new sheets that were still wet in patches and still had hairs attached to them. At this point, we told her we were not staying and that we would be asking for a refund. We contacted Booking.com to explain the situation. They could not get in contact with the owner and so told us they could not give us a refund. It ruined our New Year's Eve and Booking.com did not care. They offered us an £18 goodwill gesture. Absolutely not what I was expecting from such an organisation. P.S. In case you are still considering booking this accommodation, there were poo stains on the toilet bowl, the carpets hadn't been hoovered, and the lounge area only has space for two people to sit. We couldn't get out of there quick enough.

Avoid at all costs, worst stay.

The house had good decor and potential of being a good stay.

It was the worst stay I've ever had in terms of cleanliness and hygiene standards. To list some of it: * The bedding was not washed, there were human fluid stains, hair, dust. * Towels were musty and dirt filled. * Toilets were not cleaned, there were stool stains. * Showers had hair and grime. * Carpets were dusty, not vaccummed. * The ceiling in the ground floor bedroom was leaking water from shower above. * Dust all over the furniture. * Appliances, toaster, coffee machine, all had reminants/crumbs of food cooked previously. I'd have given a zero rating because of all that if possible. The host did not respond at all throughout the stay about the concerns. Zero conversation. Please spare yourself the nightmare of this stay and avoid at all costs. You'll be wasting money and will be horrified at the state of cleanliness at this property.

Location good.

Very dirty in places, pillows were dreadfully stained and bedding poor and worn.

The price is good, the accommodation is comfortable, but the cleanliness needs improvement.

The accommodation was compact and comfortable, with enough space for everyone. It had everything we needed for a normal stay.

But it wasn't clean ((( We had to tidy up, vacuum and wash everything before settling in with the children.

Not cleaned and needs a lot of TLC

It was close to supermarkets and the retail park

It was dirty, the bed broke, the sheets were ripped on the downstairs bed. Plates and cutlery were all wet. Food left in the freezer, floor had not been hoovered as had bits on the floor, the one tin for the oven, had food left on it and was not washed up. cobwebs everywhere and dirt and hair in the bedroom on the right at the top of the stairs. Curtains falling off the rail, chair stained in the downstairs bedroom. Chairs around the table were loose and need to be tighten. Smelt very musty and needs a good clean. Considering the price we paid it was disgusting.

Unreliable, disingenuous host - avoid!

A week before our intended stay, my elderly mother - who was due to come with us - fell ill and was taken into hospital. I contacted the host my phone to see if she'd be happy if we cancelled the 1-night booking and get our money back (£208). She agreed. I then followed up with a message to her on booking.com requesting cancellation. Since then (6 weeks ago), I have spoken to her on the phone three more times - and each time she says she will refund us our money. Nothing has arrived. She says she's unable to log on to booking.com, so I suggested she contacts them and resolves it, so she can action our refund and respond to other guests. But still nothing. I raised an official dispute with booking.com but am told there's nothing they can do if she doesn't respond to messages. So I'm stuck, £208 out of pocket. I strongly suggest you look elsewhere for your stay. I can't comment on the quality of the property as we never stayed there - but the quality of the host is the worst I've experienced in the 10+ years I've been using booking.com. Avoid!

Great property but owner dilligence could be better

Property was clean and well equipped adequate parking for 2 vehicles

Towels were still wet and a bit musty. Entry instructions didn’t arrive and address is wrong on site. It’s actually 178 C and parking at 178 upset the neighbours. I had to chase for access. Other than that, it was spot on!

Was adequate for what we needed and for the amount of time spent in there

The property has huge potential and was great for our group . 3 good sized rooms with double beds with 2 sofa beds also . Kitchen was great with plenty of equipment and utensils etc.

On arrival there was dirty blanket and towel on a chair assuming from previous guests . Our towels that had been left for us folded were still wet . Some areas hadn’t been cleaned very well which is a shame as property itself is nice. I’ve definitely stayed in worse and would say these are just a few small niggles nothing major

Filthy

Location and number of bedrooms and bathrooms

First of all this house is not in Keynsham so we went to Bath Road in Keynsham and then had to phone someone who wasn't that helpful and actually laughed at us and said nobody else had ever had a problem finding it. Secondly on arrival the house was filthy with a vacuum strewn all over the hallway, and a bag of dirty linen left in the middle of the kitchen floor. It smells stale and dusty. There were filthy plates, glasses, cups and cutlery and no tea towels. Cleaning products either had been watered down or were empty so luckily I had taken a pack of wipes and did some cleaning to make it smell better. There was poo in the downstairs toilet and the showers are mouldy. The towels were too small. There were no hand towels and they smell musty. The bedding is worn out and sweaty to sleep in. I sent a message about these issues and not having any hot water on the first night and got no response the same as before we went when I had some questions. It is a lovely building but it's really dusty, grubby and it felt like we were living in other people's dirt. Such a shame.

Disappointed

The table was big enough to sat us all

Would never stay again. The bed slats haven't been fixed down so when my elderly parents rolled over in the night the mattress collapsed underneath them. When we reported this to the owner we got an incredibly rude response to say we should fix it ourselves and not be "bouncing around ". Now we can have a joke about there not being much bouncing to be had at their age but to be honest what's the point in a bed that can't with stand rolling over let alone a little bit of bouncing. That was bad enough but when we got showered in the morning, the drain had never been cleaned and the tiny shower tray over flowed immediately sending water through the light fixture in the room below! We realised this has clearly happened before due to the brown stains and hole around the light. Personally I actively keep my water supply away from electricity outlets but this owner obviously hasn't made the effort. Everything about this property makes it clear the owner only cares about money and takes no care in actually maintaining a nice place to stay. From mysterious brown stains on the carpet, dead bugs squished on the walls, mould growing in the dish soap tray and musty towels. These visible signs of negligence make the mind spiral as to what more hidden hygeine neglects there are. I imagine it is only the guests that wash the dishes with the only used sponge and limited watered down dish soap provided.

If we was to visit Bath or a surrounding area again we would definitely look this one up for availability

The property was practical and great position for what we wanted there is everything you need near by. The property was in general good condition but needs a GOOD clean the one of the bed had slight staining there was bits of dust and dirt in the drawers and a few other areas but generally not to bad.

Has everything and more you need it has more gadgets in the kitchen than most homes. The parking arrangement and car charging needs to be listed.
