I would stay again

Great location, apartment was well lovely and clean. Kitchen had everything you need including a washer machine! The bed was really comfy and we had a great sleep.

Fit for purpose and I'll stay again

The host, Patrick was exceptional, friendly, personable and helpful. The apartment itself was very good and homely. Whilst located on a high street and above a public house, the apartment is close to many local amenities.

The apartment is on the top floor without access to an elevator. This should be spelt out in the promotional materials and outlets. A Wheel chair bound and/or infirm purchasers would find the apartment inaccessible. There is also a pay public carpark nearby but not associated with the apartment, therefore, this property does not come with car parking. The public car park is reasonably priced.

Really enjoyable, great location and comfort, nice little pad.

Easy and seamless to get in, beautifully clean, perfect location, great bed, nice bathroom, kitchen and utensils all good. Tea and coffee… nice view from the bay window

Great stay with great facilities

Lovely apartment, nicely decorated and everything you need, the entrance through the stairs let it down a, bit , a few smells from the nearby pub , but the apartment itself was lovely

We had a fabulous time, great location and apartment.

The only issue was the smell from the pub kitchen below that filled the communal hallway. We do understand this is something the owner is unable to control. Dusty bathroom blind, would be easy to address. Bedroom voile smelled of smoke, assuming previous guest had been smoking by the window.

Great location, perfect for a short stay.

Everything you need in a small place.

Shouldn’t complain about the weather but being in the roof space of the building after a very sunny day meant it was boiling which did limit sleep. A small portable AC unit would sort this but the question is, how often would it be needed. Really very minor

Wonderful apartment, stunning walks, amazing host

The apartment is absolutely gorgeous, stylish and Patrick the host has thought of everything possible to make it comfortable and special. Love the beautiful interesting books. The kitchen is beautifully laid out, love the window seat and table and chairs and lovely armchair sitting room. The whole place has such a delightful air about it. Ideally placed for amazing walks to Mam Tor and Padley Gorge, Patrick is so friendly and helpful and you can feel his love for the area. Lovely places to eat, little antique shops to explore good food shops, chemist etc everything you need to stock up on just 5 mins walk in lovely Matlock. Thank you! Wonderful

Beautiful gem of a place with great location

The apartment was furnished to a high standard with beautiful taste and little details thought about for the guests went above and beyond. Great value and felt clean as I’m quite fussy on cleanliness. The hosts were friendly and gave lots of information to make the stay go comfortably and smoothly, the location was perfect to walk to Matlock bath and wander around Matlock with a park close by and parking was simple and close. It felt a safe area and would definitely return and have recommended to friends and family

It’s a great place to explore the local area and a lovely flat to relax in.

Location was perfect for walking, visiting other places by bus and train. Great if solo traveller or with others. Flat was great and met my expectations and Patrick, the host was easy to reach.

The only downside was the main door to the whole building being unlocked as apparently waiting to be fixed. I didn’t feel totally secure when going to bed, otherwise no complaints at all.

Perfect spot to tour the Peak District!

Situated in a truly charming spot in a beautiful town. Very comfortable bed and a good shower. Kitchen was good and laundry was great, as we were on a long arm of our trip. Central to the sites of the Peak District and a great place to return after a day of touring! Parking was super easy. Grocery store just a few minutes away. Can’t imagine finding a better spot to stay!

Spacious apartment, light and airy. The bed was really comfortable. Great value for money. Kitchen well equipped. Great communication from host.

It was a bit noisy in the lounge, from being on the main road, especially from outside the local bars but the bedroom at the back was peaceful.

Super place -great location- Lovely host

Lovely place - really nicely furnished and well stocked with kitchen facilities etc. It's in a great location and super communication from host- thank you!

Can be a little noisy with traffic in front room but the room itself is really lovely -and nicely appointed. Slight cigarette smell from previous renter but not the host's fault (and they were apologetic!). Front (main) door to all the flats wasn't fully locking when we were there- may have been resolved by now.

A little too close to the local karaoke bar but this can only be heard from the Kitchen/Living room, the bedroom was quiet and peaceful!

Charming Apartment in a Fantastic Location – Cosy, Convenient and Perfect for Exploring Matlock

We really enjoyed our stay! The location is great —right in the heart of town with shops, restaurants, and pubs all on your doorstep. It’s also just a lovely walk to the Heights of Abraham and other local attractions, so a great base to explore the area. The apartment itself is beautifully decorated, with lots of thoughtful little touches that made it feel really cosy and welcoming. It had everything we needed for a comfortable stay, with all the facilities you'd expect and more. Parking was really convenient too—just behind the apartment, which made unloading bags super easy.

As expected from the location, there was a bit of noise in the evenings from nearby bars and people outside chatting, but nothing that bothered us—we knew what to expect and the bedroom is tucked away at the back of the property, so it was lovely and quiet for sleeping. The only minor issue was the fire alarm going off at 8:15am on Saturday. The other residents didn’t seem to know how to turn it off, and although Patrick responded straight away and was very helpful, the building management company didn’t open until 9:30am. We just headed out early for the day, so it wasn’t a big deal, but it would be helpful to have a bit more information in the apartment in case something like that happens again.

Apartment was in a great location near all the shops and restaurants in Matlock. Perfect for exploring the area and close to the train station. The apt itself is spacious, bright and well equipped. It was ideal for a short break away in the Peak District.

THIS is how to do a holiday let!

THIS is how to do a holiday let! A beautifully furnished and curated apartment that is impeccably clean, has good-quality toiletries and nice coffee and is well located in a very central location in Matlock. Perfect for exploring on foot the town, the heritage railway and the short walk up Pic Tor, or for bus, train and car travel to explore further afield. Would thoroughly recommend this property. Information and responsiveness from Patrick was perfect.

We stayed Thursday and Friday night and the cocktail bar over the road was quite noisy on the Friday night only. However, at 11pm the music was off, and the clientele disappeared almost as quickly as the cheesy classics faded away. The music couldn't be heard in the bedroom though, which faces away from the street. The bars and restaurants at street level do give plenty of choice quite literally on the doorstep though!
