Rose Cottage

The apartment was in a quiet location. The apartment was clean, tidy and well equipped and decorated. There were so many extras like books, dvds, biscuits, chocolates, tea, coffee and milk. The bedrooms were a good size and the beds were comfortable. There was a lovely view from the apartment. There were birds who came to use the bird feeder. The kitchen was well equipped. There was a downstairs toilet. There were free toiletries. There was a bench outside in the front of the apartment where you can look at the views and use a binocular We met three lovely ladies who lived nearby who we chatted to

The steps to the apartment were steep. There should be a handrail. The plants outside were wild. It would have been better to have flowers to set off the garden. We did not sit in the garden at the back as the steps were steep and unsuitable for walking on the floor surface. Please note that this apartment is on a very steep hill so you need to be very fit to walk up and down to the shops etc. The parking can be very tricky for you to manoeuvre your car in the car space.

A really beautiful cottage, well equipped and comfortable with lively outside space.

All was lovely -the only difficulty was parking in a rather tight space!

That we had to leave

Garden was absolutely beautiful, just like a Chelsea garden. Views were stunning, good location for walks into Matlock Bath. The place was immaculate. Milk in the fridge and ice pops in the freezer!

Not really a dislike, but the house is built into the cliff so the kitchen smelt of damp and was cold (but very welcome during 30c weather!) which might be cold in winter. The master bed was a tad firm for our liking but I'm really scrapping the barrel for any downsides to the property.
