A cute cottage in a wonderful part of the world nb for small cars

Clean stylish cosy and quiet even though it's close to town- a few minutes walk! Main bedroom is lovely! Great wood burner.

The parking wasn't particularly easy you really need a small car to get into the parking space. Luckily my friend had a mini! I think this should be made clear before you book. I have a large vehicle ,( I'm an artist and musician and have a lot of kit to drive around!) and I wouldn't have enjoyed using the parking space! I think I would have just about managed it but it would have been stressful. Luckily I did manage to get somewhere nearby to park but there's no guarantee! Also layout and lighting in smaller bedroom not great. As the cupboard is locked why not move bed across so there's a bit more space...and have bedside table near the bed! It was fine for a couple of nights but would be really annoying for longer!

Location very close to centre of town and a park and walking trail. Cottage very comfy, had all we needed for our short trip.

Host did mention that private parking space was tricky, and she was right, especially if you have a big car.

Fantastic place for a mini break in Matlock

Easy to get into the property, owners were lovely when we spoke to them, the cottage was clean and had all the essentials. It was clean and well presented. The bed was so comfortable

Nice for a short break

Location was central, beds were very comfortable and I'm a fussy sleeper. Had everything you needed for a short stay.

These are some of things we didn't really like but there's not a lot can be done about it due to location etc. Only toilet is downstairs, no real outside area and the parking spot is down a narrow path

Great home for a family stay.

Comfy beds, nicely decorated, functional kitchen with washer/dryer. Excellent location right next to a lovely park/town centre and a one minute walk from a great pub (Red Lion) and petrol station with a Morrisons Daily in it.

If you are over 6ft 3 you might struggle to fit in the shower. The parking space is a bit tight but we managed to park elsewhere very close by.

Great location and really well kept cottage.

Brilliant location which was very quiet but minutes walk from shops and restaurants - beautiful walks from the door and plenty of good places to eat.

I was staying with a friend, so we had a bedroom each. I'm only 5 foot and she's nearer 6 so I took the bunkbed option which is fine for me for sleeping but there was very little storage space in that bedroom as it is so small. It was ok for our short stay but I would have found it really frustrating if staying longer. I like to unpack and be tidy rather than live out of bags on the floor.

Loved the cottage itself with it's original features and the log fire was a bonus. Great location and parking was good as we have a small car. You could easily walk into Matlock's center and not too far to Matlock Bath.

We liked the comfortable bed and seating area, log burner, good selection of games and dvds, hot shower. It was really useful to have a private parking space by the front door and just a few minutes walk into the park and Matlock town. We appreciated the little extras, dog bowls/towels/bath mat, milk/tea/biscuits, toiletries/handwash etc.

Superb cottage in central location with excellent facilities and attention to detail

This is a gorgeous little cottage with everything you need for a comfortable stay. The little extras provided by the host - toiletries, tea bags, milk, biscuits and more are a lovely little touch to make you feel welcome. Very nicely decorated and cosy log burner in the sitting room. Beds are comfortable and the bathroom is spacious. This cottage is in a central location around the corner from a fantastic park and with shops, bars and restaurants on the doorstep. It is still quiet and peaceful on a little side street. We will definitely be back! You will not regret booking this cottage if you plan to visit Matlock.
