Excellent property, great break away. Highly recommended.

The properly was perfect for a family of 5 plus our dog. Having everything you need in the kitchen makes life so much easier; we were able to cook evening meals for all of us with no issues. The property caters well for a family - it couldn’t have been a better stay - board game, tvs, washing machine, not to mention the very cool games room. I’m pretty sure my kids were dreaming about Ms. Pac-Man! It’s a mixture of fun and comfort with some gorgeous decor. Everyone slept well and absolutely loved all the attention to detail. Just having things labelled and explained is incredibly helpful. I would highly recommended staying here for a stress-free enjoyable break in Matlock. It is a good location for travelling around the local area too.

The property is so lovely, the decor cool and quirky but beautiful too. There is everything you need and it’s really comfortable. If I was being extremely fussy, I’d say of you are intending on filling the house, take some of your own towels. There were enough for 5 of us but they are small.

A lovely quirky property. The furnishings are thoughtful and colourful. Amazing views across the hills. Loved the arcade games as well.

If walking, the hill up from town is not for the faint hearted.

Perfect for all the family

Lovely house spread out over 3/4 floors. Enough space for everyone to have their own room and privacy. Decor was very nice too.

Only 1 bathroom for 5 adults was a bit of a problem, but we managed. Parking was hit and miss on a very busy road.

Wonderful property, quirky and comfortable. Host was also really helpful and the detailed information at the property was also exceptional. The games room was also an added bonus. Everything you need for a perfect few days away. We loved it.

Nothing that we didn’t like. It was great. There are lots of stairs (it’s all in the name really). No problem for us but just to bear in mind if you struggle with that sort of thing.

Pleasant stay in a quirky property

Quirky property a lot of thought has gone into designing it which was very nice it felt like a home from home. Excellent views from the property.

It is situated on a busy main road with vehicles accelerating up the hill which was rather noisy and the parking was very limited outside the property.

Incredible stay

Home away from home. Supplied absolutely everything you could need and in the most gorgeous home, a big book with everything you could need to get to know the house and the area. We will be coming back no doubt. Very clean, bedrooms were beautiful and plenty of space to relax and unwind. Lovely outdoor area and incredible views. I loved the games area downstairs, darts provided and some cocktail equipment. An added touch in every room. Also amazing communication with the host on all the questions I had, she was so lovely and so accommodating. Couldn't recommend this enough.

An absolute gem of a property!

Gorgeous property with stylish, quirky decor. Very comfortable and everything we needed.Matlock is a lovely town with loads of fabulous walks and things to do.

The only negative for us was the outdoor space (not really a problem) but the patio area not enclosed and we had our dog with us so having an enclosed garden would’ve been the icing on the cake

A real Gem 💎

We had a perfect few days in Matlock with great host communication and info on surrounding area. The veiws from the lounge and bedroom were amazing. The house was warm and homely. The kitchen was well equipped, lots has thought has gone into making your stay comfortable and fun! There was plenty to keep big and small kids happy, from darts, pacman, boardgames, TV, to a bathroom chute😄, toys, 2 lounges, we had a great time, many thanks. Liz and family.

It is a beautiful, clean and we'll equipped property in a beautiful location! It'll be our "go to" when we fancy a break away from the norm! Clare is attentive and reachable with answers to any questions and we couldn't have asked for a better few days away! Thanks a lot!

A great find!

What an amazing property with so many lovely details. The games room along with childrens toys and books provided lots of entertainment as did the walkie talkies and all the rooms to explore! We even found the hidden sweets. The host really has thought of everything and provided a beautiful home from home. The beds were also super comfy. It was a lovely base for us to explore Matlock. We will definately be back!

Take slippers as the kitchen floor gets very cold! If you have 2 cars with you, you may struggle to get both parked outside but we always found parking nearby.

Very enjoyable - warm and cosy house with stunning view. Would highly recommend.

Very comfortable and all the thoughtful touches made us feel really at home. The host Clare was very responsive and has obviously made great efforts with the design and amenities. Be aware house is on 4 floors and there’s a steep hill down to town but two very good local bars.

Unfortunately the downstairs loo was out of action due to previous guests! Would have rated 10 if it had been working.

Super sfeervol betaalbaar huis in een prachtige omgeving.

Wat een leuk en apart huis om in te verblijven! Absolute aanrader voor een verblijf in Matlock / Peak District. Parkeren ging prima voor de deur. Prima wifi, gezellige kamers, leuke keuken en alles zeer compleet ingericht en uitgebreide voorzieningen. Alles wat je kunt bedenken is er wel. Het huis heeft sfeer. Bedden lagen heerlijk. Matlock en Matlock Bath is een leuke uitvalsbasis voor de oostkant van Peak. Heights of Abraham was erg leuk om te zijn/doen.

Het is een rijtjeshuis dus je hoort de buren soms. Na 23:00 was het altijd wel rustig/stil trouwens, dus erg storend was het zeker niet.
