It was homely. Comfy beds. And the bedroom on the lower ground floor was surprisingly very quiet.
The car parking on the property was tight and difficult to enter and exit when two cars are parked. I used the road which was no problem as there are no restrictions on the weekend.

People in jewel cottage parked in such a way that we couldn't park in gate cottage space and so we parked in the restricted zone on the road,

The host was very responsive and informative. The cottage was in a perfect location for me. The cottage was pristine , very well equipped ,with lovely features. The rooms were a very good size with a nice little sitting area outside for summer evenings.
I genuinely can't think of anything. I need to stay in Matlock on a fairly regular basis now.I hope there will be availability for this or its sister cottage.

it was very clean
not suitable for tall people or people with walking problems. very steep stairs.1 of the bedrooms downstairs, I had to go up 2 flights of stairs to the bathroom! Parking impossible in back gravel drive. very lucky to get a parking space on very busy road! Its at the top of a very, very long steep bank,taxi needed to go restaurants .! traffic woke me up !
