Beautifully decorated apartment right in the centre of Matlock. The location couldn’t be better and it’s exceptionally clean and stylish. The instructions and communication from host Cathy was also amazing.

Really cosy and safe feeling spot, everything was really lovely ! The hosts were really kind and let us check in early, and even tried to reach out to secure us a nearby parking spot if we needed it.

Excellent apartment in the centre of Matlock.

Keys were left in a lock box which was easily accessible. The host let us know well in advance of the combination. The facilities were outstanding and had everything you would require for your stay. The location could not have been any better as it was situated in the heart of Matlock. Would definitely stay again and will be!

A welcoming, cosy, clean and comfortable apartment, loved our stay and didn't want to leave!

There were extra personal touches that made us feel welcome, such as snacks, tea, coffee, fresh milk in the fridge, even spare toothbrushes, shower gels and deodorant. Kitchen very well stocked with lovely crockery, utensils and appliances. Modern decor, very well designed, love all the ornaments and stylish furnishings, mirrors and lamps. Black-out blind is a god send to block out street lights. Bed and bedding clean and comfortable, nice bathroom towels provided. We found the mini guide useful with recommendations for food, and how to top up the hot water. Everything is in great condition and well maintained. Good location with short walk to local shops, cafes and pubs. Window looks out onto the bridge, location is great to watch passers by!

A little bit of luxury in Matlock

The apartment was beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean and had everything we needed for a luxurious comfortable stay. Extra little touches like milk, croissants and cake on arrival and a bowl of roses on the table. Very convenient for Matlock shops and was a convenient base to visit the surrounding area and National Trust properties. Although we had to pay for parking there was plenty of space and situated within a few minutes away. Cathy was really helpful, both beforehand when we asked about the parking, and while we were there and needed a bulb replacing. Everything was done so promptly. We'd love to stay again, although see our comment below which might put some off.

People have commented previously on the traffic noise. We didn't find the general traffic too bad and it didn't keep us awake. However, every evening and into the night, there was a long period of loud revving motorbikes and racing sporty cars which made it difficult to hear the TV and was a real disturbance. Possibly secondary glazing isn't possible if it is a listed building but it might be worth investing whether the council/police are able to monitor those involved. It is such a shame when the apartment is so perfect.

Awful road traffic noise

Beautifully decorated apartment. Small but with everything you need, fully equipped kitchen. The milk and croissants was a nice touch Easy to find. The living room area felt like a cost snug. The TV worked (we used out own Chromecast) fire stick provided, decent WiFi.

The noise. It ruined our stay. Impossible to have the windows open due to road traffic noise directly below. Having the windows closed was no better as it's single glazing. Possibly a listed building but the sound proofing seriously needs looking into. For this reason we can not recommend and will not return, which is a shame as the apartment itself is lovely Communal stairs need tlc, quite smelly and unwelcoming. We parked at the train station which was recommended by the host, we were not expecting to pay £15 for 2 nights (arrived Thursday at 2, left Saturday at 10.30). It was an unwelcome suprise! The mattress and pillows were very firm

Really helpful, kind hosts - who helped us sort out overnight EV charge. The apartment is in a really central location, great view of the Bridge & easy walking access to everything. And all the restaurants are just nearby.

Google maps took us to the wrong place. But David the host was available to help out!
