Perfect short break, with a little bit of luxury/home comforts with cafes, shops and walks.

Everything, the property was lovely maintained and had everything you need for a night or couple of nights stay. We took our dog, and he had everything he needed too. Location was great and parking easy, highly recommend.

Not much to dislike. Kitchen very well equipped Good location with a parking space, which enabled us to visit the Victorian Christmas Market. Tea/ coffee/ milk & biscuits left for us. Contacted the owner twice, she was very pleasant and very helpful. Really comfortable bed 😁

Very bright outside lights from neighbouring properties, which were on all night. The blinds in the bedroom area did not black out this light very much at all. I always have a sleep mask, but without one, this would definitely have disturbed my sleep

Quirky and handy location

The location is perfect for the town and for Matlock bath

Nothing I didn’t like quirky little place however I did find it a bit of a cheek to charge me an extra £15.00 charge for a dog clean 🤣yes I brought my very small dog with me who is clean sleeps in a cat carrier and stays at places regularly wasn’t left alone but as I left the lady cleaning had her big fluffy white German shepherd with her in the property?? Maybe a bit double standards there! Would I stay again? If I’m allowed to after the above comment yes and would I recommend to others yes 👍🏻

Super place to stay in Matlock

The location was so central, with eateries, pubs and the river less than a minute away. Parking was seconds from the door. The property was cosy, stylish and very well-equipped. It was immaculately clean. Lovely little extras like milk in the fridge, biscuits, olive oil and herbs for cooking and toiletries in the bathroom. Lovely bathroom with large shower cubicle. Plenty of things in the kitchen to cook if that is the plan. The hosts are clearly very professional and experienced.

Fun and well-equipped mini-home conversion of an old jeweller’s smithy/workshop on a small alley in the centre of Matlock. Dog-friendly and allocated parking.

2 night stay for couples

Great location, nice and quiet, small but comfortable, and had everything you'd need, nice comfy bed, parking spot.

Only one minor thing radiators are electric and when they click on during the night, they make a ticking noise kept waking us up not much that can be done about it but if your a light sleeper take earplugs!

I have stayed here before and again it hasn’t disappointed. Great location, lovely little space to unwind and enjoy the surrounding area.

The quirkiness and all the ammonites, really comfy bed and there was milk left in the fridge .

Quaint little get away

Loved that it was so close to the park to walk my dog while I could still do some sightseeing- at the war memorial. Park was set out good too Clean, up to date facilities with the little touch of finesse- loved the biscuits 😋 it was a home away from home

Fantastic spot to stay with all the home comforts you could need away from home

Was lovely and the location is perfect so central to the shops and restaurants. As well as being on the riverside to be able to pick up any of the walks etc. The kitchen was fully equipped with everything you could need, bathroom fab and the sitting area was great to. The welcome gifts was also a nice touch.

Location was excellent. A minute's walk to the park. Ideal for dog owners. The property had everything that we needed and it had a gated patio, ideal again for dog owners. Clean and comfortable.

Lovely little getaway

Location was great, in the center of matlock, and just a short walk, from matlock bath, also close to anything you might need shop wise an plenty of things to make a day out of. The apartment was lovely and clean smelled nice too, there's every appliance you could want to enjoy your stay, had a nice homely feel with character, also very quiet even tho next to a restaurant and bar. Lovely place would recommend to anyone

Beautifully presented unique property in a great location for Matlock, The Watchmakers is ideal for a couple or 3 people

Beautiful unique property with stone floors in a great location. Outside area lovely. Pet friendly too. Dog bowls provided and a large dog bed if needed. The place was very clean. We had a pint of milk in the fridge and biscuits and tea coffee & sugar and all toiletries provided which was a nice touch also the condiments Olive oil etc was there if we needed it. We had our own parking space opposite the property.

Nothing we didn’t like about the property. We didn’t use the dog bed as it needed washing Fortunately we took our own. Check out was a little early 10am on a Sunday morning. The Pet fee was an extra £15

Perfect getaway

Absolutely amazing place to stay, so close to the park and eateries. Very clean, it was lovely to have tea & biscuits upon arrival, felt like a home from home. Our dog particularly liked his bed, he was disappointed we had to leave it behind.

Shower was terrible I’m afraid to say 😬 Perfect if you want to be central in the town but too central for us, busy with people/traffic. Should have researched more but from the pictures looks to be in a nicer setting.
