Ideal for families

We stayed in the family room for 2 nights. The room was spacious, comfortable, clean and well equipped. The manager was very welcoming and helpful.

Not worth the money and poor service

Location was good

The room wasn’t particularly clean. It was bottom floor near retaining wall so had a musty smell. Servicing was not done despite hanging door card request out on two occasions. We had to go and ask for more essential items. Very expensive for the most basic of motels

Great location for a comfortable stay in Russell

Great location and layout of the family room. Parking right outside so easy to load and unload the car. Kitchen facilities were good, main bedroom was small, but second room was spacious. Swimming pool was great.

Close to town and really comfortable bed.

The guy who checked us in was lovely, and the bed was Uber comfortable. It's also a couple of minutes walk to town and we were allowed our little dog to stay. They are currently doing improvements so it should be even better next time.

There was no water pressure so hubby thought that the water was off, he went and enquired and it was because we were upstairs and the hot water cylinder was downstairs so maybe if you're in a downstairs room it'll be good, or maybe it's on the list of improvements they're working on. It'll just take a little longer to fill the jug or rinse the shampoo from your hair in the shower.

Captains Motel is amazing! All of it. The host. The cleanliness. Comfort. Atmosphere... very well stocked with supplies & condiments. Kitchen is well set up with everything you need! Super comfy beds. All modern & fresh. We will be back!

The property is easy to find, a short walk into Russell town centre, and is very clean and tidy, with a friendly, helpful Manager.

So close to the main road, it was too noisy to keep windows open - so an air conditioning unit would have been appreciated.

Out dated Lack of privacy Little ants into everything Not as advertised. Ie no couch No dining area. Only a small table and 2 chairs in the bedroom. Way overpriced compared to other properties we were at.

Okay, aber auch nicht mehr.

Mit Ausnahme der Küche weckmässig eingerichtet, sauber.

Die Küche ist sehr sparsam eingerichtet. Eine grosse Pfanne fehlt. Herdplatten zu klein. Russell war während zwei Tagen wegen Sturm nicht erreichbar und während 16 Stunden ohne Strom. Der Gastgeber hat sich nur auf Nachfrage um Informationen gekümmert.
