Great central location with views of the sea from our room. The studio room had everything needed for a two night stay.

The location was perfect, the room was clean and well equipped and the bed comfortable.

The early morning noise from the people in the room above and the shower not draining properly. We did mention it on checking out to the manager but he really wasn't very concerned about it....disappointing.

Russell's Hananui Lodge was an excellent two night stay which will be a treasured memory!

Super comfortable and perfectly located accommodation

The location was very central, the apartment was really clean and really well set up with everything we would need. The bed was comfy, the shower was hot and powerful, and the staff were really professional and welcoming. We wish we could have stayed longer and would definitely return.

Comfort and space in the centre of Russell

These apartments have a great location. We rented 7 & 8 and enjoyed the spaciousness and balcony. Everything was fresh and clean, especially the bathroom. The kitchen had everything we needed. The staff were pleasant. We’d definitely return.

Excellent location, clean and tidy rooms. pleasant and comfortable furniture. The balcony and view over the beach are excellent. Access to the beach is brilliant.

Kitchen facilities were quite small and would have been challenging to cook for four people if we needed to. Drier and washing facilities are limited (time of use - can't use after 6pm), and relatively expensive.

A few things that needed fixing in the room - fridge was not working, towel hanger was hanging off the wall, shower head wouldn’t stay up. Door was difficult to lock. Would have thought these small issues would be sorted before letting a room out

Faultless accommodation in a beautiful location.

Hananui was an outstanding choice for our 4 night stay in Russell. Immaculately clean and so well positioned on the waterfront, a 2 minute walk to everything. Great facilities with a kitchenette enabled us to have a combination of eating in and trying out the many wonderful restaurants in the area. Paroa Bay winery was a must do - do yourself a favour though and book the shuttle !

Memorable stay! Highly recommended.

This was such a lovely property right on the lake. We took a stroll just after we arrived at 5.00pm along the beach that was 30m from our room. Orange sunset with geese swimming with their young just offshore. Hundreds of birds along the shore and beautiful lakes with water running into the sea. Fabulous!! The staff at reception and in the restaurant were wonderful and the food and wine first class and reasonably priced. Just loved it.

Perfect location within easy walking distance of the waterfront, Russell ferry, cafe's, restuarants and shops. The apartments are lovely with all you need for a great stay with the added bonus, they face north / north west so get heaps of afternoon sun. We made good use of the balcony each day while there. Staff were lovely and provided excellent friendly service. Would definitely stay again.

A pleasant spot for a weekend get away.

The room had a great little kitchenette suitable for self cooking if you wanted to. We had a little balcony and it was a nice afternoon sunny spot, even though it was the village side.

The two levels of stairs to our room was a good workout for the heart, probably a good thing :)

Amazing location. Well equipped and amazing clean room. Comfortable beds.

You get discounts at restaurants but they didn’t tell us when we checked in. Only found out in the morning after we had been to 2 restaurants in he afternoon and evening earlier. Would have been good to be told and given the discount card on checkin.
