Paying for a cab we had cancelled when we were under the impression we were being collected as part of the free airport transfer, however this was not Moon Gare’s fault more so a naughty cab company.

Very welcoming and comfortable - would definitely recommend

Very cosy comfortable cottage with super comfy bed and all provisions taken care of. The continental breakfast provided was plentiful and included homemade jams bread, museli and freshly squeezed oranges from their historical orange trees. The Cottage is situated amongst an expansive lawn and garden setting making for a very tranquil stay. Lionel and Rob are wonderful hosts, so helpful, welcoming and very informative.

We were truly impressed with the Moon Gate Villa! It is an amazing place with nice gardens, outstanding and well-designed rooms, excellent facilities and simply amazing hosts. The place was super clean and impeccable. Breakfast: was stunning (fresh fruits, bakery, eggs prepared to ones wishes....) - fantastic.

Run by really friendly hosts who had thought of everything to make the stay comfortable and were very helpful and accomodating. They introduced me to some of the other guests too and we really enjoyed chatting over a delicious breakfast. Highly recommended!

A little paradise to cool down and relax.

Every thing was topnotch: A big room with a confy bed, the huge garden and last but not least a marvelous breakfast. The hosts were very kind and helpful, providing a list of restaurants, maps with informations about the surrounding and personal support about the airtraffic. There is really nothing to mention, what didn't work.

The Host was extremely welcoming. The bed was the best bed I have ever slept in and the pillows soft and luxurious. A great breakfast included in the price : granola, fruits greek yohurt, toast and jam etc and a Nespresso machine! Bloody brilliant ! Very close to Kerikeri village. Definitely recommend and would stay here again next time. A delightful garden retreat that feels like home. Well done !

Could not fault our stay. The only thing i would say is if you could install some LED lights around the street sign would make it easier to spot the long narrow entry drive, especially at night

the breakfast was exceptional, the orange juice was freshly squeezed and was perfect. We loved everything about the property! The room was amazing. So quiet and private with One of the most comfortable beds we have ever slept in. The hosts Lionel And Rob were great. Lionel’s breakfasts are outstanding. Their local knowledge of things to do, places to visit and where to eat were exceptional. The attention detail is amazing, right from the welcome sign when we arrived to the wee chocolates placed on the bed each night.

Heavenly break

My friend and I were delighted to stay at the Moon gate. The best B&B ever! Beautiful setting, with every detail considered. A visual pleasure that should be featured in a Design magazine. Lionel & Rob were truly the best warm hosts giving us so much help and local information. I immediately relaxed as soon as we arrived. Breakfasts to die for – which was a great start to every day. I would love to return!
