A lovely apartment spoiled by the cold bathroom 🤧

The apartment was lovely, clean, near for all amenities, living room and bedroom cosy, bed really comfy, kitchen was very well equipped,

The bathroom was so cold it was uncomfortable, there was a heated towel rail, but the window was not double glazed, and the cold air outside was coming into the bathroom.

Absolutely lovely, missing it already.

The property was very clean and equipped with anything you might need, it felt like being at someone’s home rather than just a rent to stay place, it was really homey indeed. The location is very handy, as it’s away from the mess and noise or city centre but heat fairly close as you can get to the station in less than 10 mins walk. Also easy to reach all the attractions, and shops such as Lidl and Tesco. Neighbours were not too noisy either so it was relaxing staying in the flat too and heathers worked very good too. Waste disposal also was easy to access to, internet connection was good too.

I love taking baths and the bathtub didn’t work as in the drainage lid would not lock so I was only able to take showers, but that was not a massive deal. If I had something negative that I have to write about that was it, as everything else was excellent.

Fantastic stay

The apartment its self is lovely, very clean, nicely decorated and has everything you need. Oban city centre is just a short walk away which makes the location of the apartment ideal. The hosts are very friendly, accommodating and attentive.

Very updated. Lots of room and attention paid to comfort.

The access methods were a bit awkward, but only the first time, and we were sent very detailed instructions which got us through it.

Cosy, centrally located flat

The flat had everything we needed for our stay, including kitchen ware, cleaning products, tea, coffee & sugar. It was decorated really simply which made the space feel neat and clean. There were warm touches such as the towel elephants left on the bed and QR codes to connect to WiFi made things really easy. The location was ideal for accessing anywhere in Oban and is within 15 mins walk from 3 main supermarkets. The instructions about accessing the flat made things really easy to get in. We'll definitely recommend the Rail and Ferry den to friends and book again if we're back in Oban.

The only thing we needed while there that we didn't have was a cheese grater! Everything else we could need or have needed was there.

We enjoyed our stay at the Rail and Ferry Den.

The property was very near to the train station and ferry terminal as well as the town centre. Very convenient for all we wanted to do.

Not a very nice entrance to the property but inside was well presented with a lovely kitchen and lounge. Bed was very comfortable and we loved the towel art! Shower was good just a little mould around the taps which could probably solved by an extractor fan.

Nice wee apartment

Great location, very close to all the town has to offer plus ferries and rail station. Bed was very comfy indeed! Very nice and bright apartment with everything you need. We are glad we chose here.

Only a couple of small things, the hot & cold taps are reversed in the wash basin. The lock keypad getting into the flat is a little finicky but maybe it was just me. The last issue, the bathtub edge behind the taps could have been cleaned a bit better.

Eine sehr gut ausgestattete Wohnung, die direkt am Fährhafen und nur wenige Gehminuten vom Stadtzentrum entfernt liegt. Alles war super zu Fuß erreichbar! Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt.
