Great location

The location is perfect and right at the centre of Oaxaca City. The staff are also very nice and let us check in early because the room is already ready. They also helped us call a taxi to the airport on the checkout date. The pool was a bit chilly but overall very good vibe and clean room. Highly recommended.

Beautiful hotel in the perfect location

Macando Arte was simply stunning. The apartment, the furnishings, and the common areas and exterior were all gorgeous and well appointed with a modern design, beautiful art and great furnishings. The bed was super comfortable and there was plenty of closet space to unpack. I especially loved the pool - it was so lovely to cool off there after a hot day of walking around. The staff were friendly and helpful - always on hand to help out with questions. We had to leave at 4:30 am and a staff member was there to help carry our bags down the stairs. The location couldn't be better - close to everything but also on a quiet street. It was close to Llano Parque which was also a chill spot to get snacks and people watch. If we return to Oaxaca I would definitely stay at Macando!

For the price it would've been nice to have some kind of breakfast. That said, it gave us a opportunity to visit some great breakfast places nearby. Also the taxi service offered by the hotel was incredibly expensive. Luckily, a friend help arrange an a very early-morning taxi or I would've much more.

The vibe. Outstanding design. Best location. Having a pool in downtown Oaxaca was a nice plus!

Sub-par service for the price and category of the hotel. Windows and terrace don’t have black out curtains, so light from restaurants & street comes in at night and sunlight wakes you (and your kids) up at 6am. Suite was spacious and well sorted, unfortunately the second room with balcony was on the smaller side.

Beautiful modern property close to centre and in lovely area. Most of all the staff who run the property are fantastic and do everything to help make your stay in Oaxaca great. Their service was outstanding.

Amazing boutique hotel in the center of Oaxaca

Beautiful boutiques hotel in the center of Oaxaca. It is perfectly located, near Santo Domingo and many galleries and good restaurants. The street is quiet. The room is spacious, very clean and comfortable. There is a nice, small pool to enjoy during warm days. The staff is really kind and helpful. I will stay here in my future trips to Oaxaca.

Recommend if you plan to stay several days and are somewhat familiar with Oaxaca.

I believe all rooms at Macondo Arte are large with a similar layout that includes a kitchenette. Ours had a little porch. The room above had a lovely deck. You are pretty much on your own, although staff helped us get a taxi, the housekeeping was good, and staff was responsive overall. We appreciated the closet space and, most of all, the comfortable bed. The hotel is located in a quiet part of town with pretty much everything within walking distance. Really enjoyed the roof deck. The pool is a nice feature but not very large.

Would appreciate tips about the neighborhood. We had fun discovering nearby places, but always appreciate local insight for things like restaurant suggestions.

Great location and design

The place is gorgeous. We loved the bed (hard mattress for the win), and the shower that had a great water pressure which is rare in LATAM. The staff was very friendly and spoke good English. The rooftop terrace was lovely, especially at night.

Déçu.

Le lieu est trés beau. Et l'emplacement aussi bien sur mais ce n'est pas une surprise.

Ne même pas avoir la possibilité de boire un café le matin pour un établissement aussi cher c'est vraiment abusé. De même que la douche qui est soit brulante, soit froide. Bref pas trés grave en soit, mais pas pour ce tarif qui est celui d'un hotel de trés grand luxe au mexique.

Maravillosa estancia, desde ahora es nuestro lugar favorito para visitar el centro de Oaxaca

El concepto en general está lindísimo, muy cómodo y excelentemente bien ubicado, la habitación cumple bastante bien con las expectativas y los espacios comunes también son sumamente agradables

El internet nunca funcionó, para nosotros no fue un tema porque no lo necesitábamos mucho, pero en ciertos casos sí podría representar un problema. También resultó difícil tener el agua tibia en el baño, o salía muy fría o muy caliente, costaba trabajo encontrar el punto medio.

Excelente Ubicación, Excelentes Habitaciones, Excelente Atención

Es una excelente opción de hospedaje. Tiene una excelente ubicación, cerca de la Catedral de Santo Domingo y con muchas deliciosas opciones de comida alrededor. La habitación superó nuestras expectativas por su amplio tamaño, limpieza y decoración. Y no quisiera dejar de mencionar la atención del staff, quienes siempre estuvieron al pendiente de lo que requiriéramos.

La ubicación del hotel es muy buena. Las habitaciones muy bonitas y espaciosas.

El hotel es mas bien una especie de AirBNB ya que no cuenta con servicios de hotel perse. La habitación inicial era muy ruidosa (cosa que no es problema del hotel) mas sin embargo al dia siguiente solicitamos un cambio de habitación y el personal fue super amable y nos dieron una excelente habitación.

Très bel hôtel

Très belle décoration, très bon emplacement. Piscine et terrasse en accès libre. 15 minutes à pied du Zocalo, 2 minutes du jardin botanique. Un excellent endroit pour profiter de cette superbe ville de Oaxaca.

Moderno pero sin wifi en el cuarto

El hotel está muy moderno y bonito

No había conexión a internet en nuestra habitación, mientras que en la de al lado sí funcionaba perfectamente. Es inaceptable en 2025 para un hotel de este nivel cuando mucha gente trabaja de home office. Bastaría con un repetidor de Wi-Fi para solucionar el problema. Informamos al personal, pero no se hizo nada. Una lástima!

Un “hotel”, que no lo es.

Aunque es descrito como una suite con dos recámaras, en realidad, es un pequeño departamento.

Me pareció una descripción tramposa, porque dice que es un hotel de cinco estrellas y resultó que no hay servicio de alimentos. Además, ofrece un sofá para una tercera persona, pero en ese espacio no hay cortinas. Al menos pusieron unas cortinas temporales al día siguiente, pero la primera noche fue imposible dormir allí. En realidad es un inmueble para estancias largas, que tramposamente se renta como un hotel de cinco estrellas. Creo que Booking no debería permitir ese tipo de promoción engañosa.

Muy cómoda y agradable estancia en este boutique hotel.

La amplitud de la habitación y la terraza. La decoración era excepcional y los cuartos de baño eran muy modernos con buena presión de agua en la ducha. En general, muy contentos también con el personal que en todo momento nos prestó ayuda cuando lo necesitamos.

La piscina podría estar un poco más limpia ya que dadas las altas temperaturas es un gusto refrescarse a mitad de día.

Falta de comunicación entre la app y el hotel

No me agradó que me dieron una habitación distinta a la que yo había reservado, según mi reserva la habitación que yo reservé y pagué era más grande y contaba con más cosas sin embargo al llegar me comentaron que era un error de la plataforma y de las fotos y que todo estaba lleno y que solo me podían dar la habitación que me entregaron, ya conociendo el hotel me doy cuenta que mi reserva igual contenía terraza, dos camas y cocina, o al menos así lo mostraban las fotos, la habitación no estaba disponible no porque el hotel estuviera lleno como me lo hicieron saber, más bien mi habitación no estaba disponible por temas de operación del hotel sin embargo en la plataforma aún aparecía como disponible; falla de comunicación entre el hotel y la app
