Wonderful building to stay in, just needed a few extra touches to improve the experience

The location was excellent. The design of the hotel was stunning. The view from the rooftop swimming pool was great for sunbathing and the complementary hot ceynotes was an excellent touch. They also even provided me with a cake for my birthday.

The service wasn’t too friendly. For the price it was difficult to get added extras in your room - for example I asked for a kettle, some moisturising lotion and some scissors and didn’t manage to get all 3 after asking a few times. Cappuccinos were also extra and the complementary breakfast was limited.

Location awesome - price/value for us not visible.

The Location is the unbeatable. This is what you pay for. Everything was also very clean.

The toilet has no ventilation and and the door leaves a lot of space to the bedroom. The shower does also not have ventilation which leads to a moist and uncomfortable smell in room 13. You can open a window, but for the price it feels uncomfortable. The breakfast for $350 USD a night was disappointing. There is a very small selection of things and everything costs extra. A coffee Americano is not included, a bacon on the chilaquiles is extra and it doesn’t feel inviting to breakfast. The quality of the food - knowing Mexican food - tasted boring and without taste. Also the staff in the kitchen seems annoyed. Even though the waitresses care, they are overwhelmed with the work. We ordered two green tea and got one tea and one coffee, and there was only 4 people at that time in the restaurant including us. There is a good potential, but staff seems annoyed by tourists and overwhelmed with tasks. For that amount per night you clearly pay for location - typical boutique hotel on their way.

Poor property, overrated, although staff is doing their best.

Staff was nice.

Property is not well maintained, the rooms lack comfort and convenience at the bare minimum. Bathroom has a smell even the odor spreads in the room. We had booked 2 rooms, both had same issues. Food is less than basic, breakfast is not recommended. Overall the staff is nice and tries to be helpful but unfortunately the property lacks everything, and is overrated in my opinion.

The coolest hotel in all of Oaxaca

Otro is absolutely the hotel to stay when in Oaxaca. The architecture is incredible, the rooms are beautifully designed, there are interesting angles everywhere and the pool is a great plus. This hotel even has its own man built cenote. Will definitely stay here again when in Oaxaca.

As in all hotels of Grupo Habita, the breakfast buffet is minimal. Staff at the reception is 50-50 , you can either get very lucky or not at all.

First rate hotel - amazing.

Fantastic hotel. Decor is phenomenal, roof terrace has incredible views, cocktails are first class and the service is impeccable. Rooms are spacious. There's no car park but they'll park your car for you so there's no worry. Location is 10/10.

High end beautiful modern Mexican architecture in the historic centre

Amazing location and beautiful modern Mexican architecture, great people, nice food…what more do you need? Underground pool and steam bath was a great experience included in our deal. Rooftop pool and views are stunning. We would love to come back - thank you, Otro team

For us it was ok but the pool is cold, few people use it I think. The rooftop need shade, umbrellas? another reason why we where always alone? The architecture needs a lot of maintenance, a job to be done, you see some parts suffer. It’s an expensive place so you expect a lot of :-)

Lovely relaxed stay, perfect location in a beautifully designed setting.

Lovely design throughout.. Staff helpful at every turn and always with a smile. Breakfasts were lovely and the view from the rooftop in the evening is beautiful, especially with a cocktail. Private use of the 'Otro Mundo' pool is well worth booking - make the time.

Worst quality/price ever. AVOID AT ALL COST

The staff is great but very unlucky to work in such a bad hotel.

DO NOT GO TO THIS HOTEL IT'S A SCAM Lack of soundproofing: We were disturbed by noise throughout our stay, including hearing every door opening, footsteps in the hallway, and noise from nearby planes. This level of sound disturbance is unacceptable for a hotel of this price range. Inadequate lightproofing: The bedroom door did not reach the floor, allowing constant light from the hallway to seep through all night, significantly disrupting our sleep. No hot water: We had to wait over 15 minutes for water that was only lukewarm at best. Persistent unpleasant odors: There was a strong, constant sewer-like smell in the bathroom and toilet, which made the environment uncomfortable. Unacceptable room conditions: The first room we were offered did not have a proper window and was located directly beside the reception, leading to noise from both the front desk staff and the loud music played there. Overall amenities: the rooftop was way smaller than on the pictures and the pool was not clean thus unusable. The breakfast quality is not at the quality standard you expect for the price and located in the reception area which does not feel welcoming.

Buena opción, un poco cara.

Las instalaciones son muy bonitas y el personal muy atento. Cuenta con excelente ubicación. El restaurante ofrece opciones ricas. El desayuno incluido estuvo rico.

Las escaleras son de metal, por lo que hacen mucho ruido cada vez que alguien sube o baja. No pude disfrutar del cenote ya que me cancelaron un par de veces por mantenimiento.

La arquitectura y diseño del hotel Vista desde la alberca Ubicación

La primera noche no dormí, arriba de nuestro cuarto había un calentador de la alberca y se prendió el motor, se escuchaba agua corriendo por toda la pared. Telarañas en el baño por la parte del techo. Nos hicieron pagar con una liga de pago vía whats app antes de llegar al hotel y con esa liga me clonaron la TDC. En el desayuno supuestamente incluido te van cobrando ingredientes extras para el huevo.

Lindo por fuera, malo por dentro

La ubicacion excelente

Las piezas y los baños son muy pequeños. Tienen poca luz y en la noche mucha luz del exterior, aire acondicionado y ruido de las escaleras (el hotel no tiene ascensor). Salimos a las 10 am a recorrer y a las 4 pm aun no estaba lista la limpieza del alojamiento. El desayuno poco variado…

Excelente Ubicación, hermoso hotel y gran personal!

Excelente estancia! nos gustó mucho la ubicación, ya que saliendo puedes caminar y encontrar muchos puntos de interés a muy corta distancia, y aún siendo una ubicación muy concurrida, por las noches no tuvimos problemas para descansar. El hotel muy bonito, una combinación de estilo moderno sin perder la esencia de Oaxaca, totalmente recomendado!

Un poco de ruido exterior, pero por la ubicación tan céntrica era de esperarse, no fue molesto.
