Excellent property, close to the centre, comfy and warm,clean with great facilities

Great location with a parking space, comfy warm and good facilities

Access to the property is restricted due to one way street and bollards that we couldn’t get through, but once we found the parking space it was a short walk to the property, but wouldn’t put me off booking again.

It was a shame the balcony is out of action but didn’t affect our stay at all, look forward to returning when it’s sorted!

Not as advertised

Good location plenty of room for 2, warm. Would have got a high rating if maintained

One of the reasons we chose it was because it was advertised with balcony, we even took blankets so we could sit outside got there balcony was closed as unsafe. hadn't been told in advance so we could have booked somewhere else.. The oven grill didn't work 4 lights in kitchen didn't work. Light above cooker in extractor fan didn't work so couldn't see food properly quite dangerous cooking. One light on outside steps didn't work TV needed amazon code to work I didn't have one and one wasn't left. No list of instructions to work things or codes. Nothing about recycling Blind in bedroom not working saw on previous comments this has been like this for months. All minor things to fix but spoilt what could be a fantastic place. We were not told in advance the.length of the car for the parking space was 4.3 meter's we were just told it wouldn't be suitable for a big car. We felt we were deceived regarding the balcony and not being told

Cute little place

The place was close to town, just a short walk. Its a cute little place that had everything we needed. Parking at a private property just a short distance away and was easily located. Parking in Dartmouth is premium so this was a bonus. Smart TV was a great modern amenity. Beds were very comfortable with lovely linen and towels provided.

We weren't able to use the balcony but we were told this prior to our stay. As we were staying in December, it wasn't a problem at all. Slight downside was lack of hanging space for clothes. Plenty of space for folded clothes though. As we were only staying for 2 nights, this was not a problem but for anyone staying longer, may want somewhere to hang their clothes.

Stay was ok

Great location & parking was ideal. Host was good at getting back to us for enquiries. Beds are comfortable. The property just needs a little TLC and it would be great.

Cleanliness was generally ok but there is room for improvement. There are areas that needed better cleaning, the side of the fridge is covered in cobwebs. I didnt use some of the drawers for clothes int he bedrooms as they were dusty and needed a wipe out before putting clothes in them, I realised this when I started to use them and our clothes were covered in dust, luckily we only stayed for two nights so we just kept out clothes in our suitcase. The skirting boards needed a wipe and edges around the bathroom floor needed a scrub. The large cupboard in the second bedroom needed cleaning, cobwebs and a spider hanging in there - the children found that out, we didnt need to use this cupboard luckily. We also found a ladies dirty thong in the children's bedroom which is quite disgusting! The balcony is rotten! This definitely needs attention ASAP. The is a light fitting in the store cupboard where the boiler is but no lightbulb. The location is perfect and the hosts were good at getting back to us with any enquiries.

Lovely spot excellent value

Great location, close to town for pubs and restaurants. River cruises just down road parking was a godsend as Dartmouth is a nightmare for parking, kitchen is well equipped, mattresses are nice and comfy property is nice and clean. All in all a lovely stay for the price we were very pleased.

Balcony could do with some TLC but even so it was a lovely touch for the evenings to sit out

A very enjoyable short break in beautiful Dartmouth!

Well equipped kitchen and and comfortable accomodation just a few minutes walk from Dartmouth town centre. Main bedroom was very comfortable and bathroom were very good. Visited with my wife along with my son, daughter in law and baby grandson. There was a small balcony which was nice. An allocated parking place is a available on a residential drive about 200 yards away. Allocated parking is like gold dust in Dartmouth so that is a big plus though you need a good handbraken for the allocated space,

My daughter in law mentioned that the 2nd bedroom was quite humid in the hot weather that we experienced.

A gem of a property

What a great find! The Salt Box is in a prime location in Dartmouth, with allocated parking which is worth its weight in gold. The accommodation is great, clean and modern. The master bedroom has a lovely large bay window and view over Dartmouth. The second bedroom has a double bed with a bunk over the top, which was a pleasant surprise as an adult was using the room. Good amenities in the kitchen, and a little balcony.

There are no wardrobes but plenty of drawer space. No real big issue. For anyone with mobility considerations, access to the property is down a flight of steps. There are handrails.

Pleasant but cold

The parking space provided wasn't available due to other cars blocking the space and building equipment in vicinity. The hearing was an issue, couldn't get the place warm.

Lovely cosy stay in great location

The apartment is cosy, in a great location and has comfortable beds & bedding. The kitchen is modern and has everything you need.

We couldn’t find the heater for the second bedroom, so that was cold. There was space for wardrobes in the bedrooms but there were only drawers to put your clothes in, so not great for shirts and dresses

The weather was amazing so we were out and had a great time. The flat needs updating as mentioned.

Great location near to town. Small as advertised but fine for us. Lovely bed linen and towels. The lounge and kitchen were nicely furnished.

Sadly it needed a bathroom clean- mouldy areas in the bathroom, very rusty radiator, and extraction fan didn’t work. The floor had previous occupants body hair!! Faint smell of stake urine ! no windows that opened in the flat which was uncomfortable at night- the balcony door opened. No cleaning products left so unable to use dishwasher. Main bedroom blind broken so stayed closed which was a shame.small bedroom has two tiny ventilation windows but they didn’t open- not ideal.

This was a lovely place to stay for the weekend, and it was very clean

The beds were extremely comfortable and the bedding supplied was very cosy. We all slept very well. The location is excellent. It was a few minutes walk into the town.

We couldn’t get the Wi-Fi or the TV to work reading through the previous reviews other guests had the similar problem

Petit apparemment très pratique à deux pas de tout

Très joli petit appartement à côté d'une rue avec des magasins et à deux pas des restaurants et des ferries pour le château de Dartmouth, la traversée et les croisières. La place de parking est un vrai atout dans cette ville très piétonne. Le balcon est également charmant et agréable. La machine à laver est un vrai plus, mais se trouve dans la remise où il ne faut pas être très grand pour pouvoir y accéder. Mais vous y trouverez également tout le nécessaire de nettoyage. Le lit superposé est un lit double en bas et un simple en haut, très pratique pour une famille avec trois enfants voire quatre car il y a également un lit parapluie sous ce dernier.

Il faut faire attention pour l'étage du lit superposé, le matelas étant très épais, il dépasse de la barrière de sécurité et la barrière fournie sous le lit est petite. D'ailleurs le matériel rangé est fort poussiéreux, il mérite une vérification plus régulière, ainsi que les coins sous les canapés. Les casseroles de la cuisine sont vraiment très abîmées, elles aussi méritent d'être remplacées.
