Really bad experience – do NOT stay here! The hotel was extremely loud, making it impossible to rest. On top of that, we found ants under the mattress, a worm on the bed, and other insects in both beds. Staff admitted the hotel was fully booked and couldn’t move us, suggesting we find another hotel with reimbursement promised. We had to book a much more expensive place at the last minute, and since then the owner and reception have ignored all messages and calls and did not reimburse us anything. Horrible hygiene, zero accountability, and unbearable noise. Avoid this place!

Comfy beds, good location

Beds were so comfortable, I didn't want to leave. Good location for Canggu, lot of good food and massage places nearby.

Rooms are cleaned/towels changed on request only - don't forget to ask!

Location was good

We lived here for 14 days. - The WiFi was SO bad and when we complained we were told we would get a refund, but in the end the owner would not give it to us. - The power was off often - The water was off - There was a lot of noice from construction early morning - very noisy in general - you could here EVERYTHING the people next door did. - The owner wasn’t pleasant to be around.

The hotel is very well-designed and stylish. It is in a great location, within a few minutes of the surf beach, great restaurants, bars and shopping. The staff are super friendly and welcoming. The staff are excellent. The common area and our rooms were kept spotless.

Very disappointed and won’t be staying again

Good location, nice pool and friendly staff

The included breakfast wasn’t good, very plain and not as shown in the photos. On the first night I had a rat in my room. I actually woke up with it on my arm. I was able to change rooms and asked for a refund for that night since that is unacceptable for any accomodation but that was denied. I saw the rat exit the room between the gap of the door and the floor. I mentioned this to the manager that the gap needs to be rectified. I later overheard a conversation between the owner and the manager, with the owner saying that the incident was a one off and she isn’t going to address the gap, so there is the potential for this to happen again to someone else. I feel like this is really poor management, I’m sure she wouldn’t like a rat on herself. In the new room the bed sheets were dirty initially and needed to be changed. There were also little bugs/ants in the room constantly. It is clear they have a rodent issue as there was always rat poo on the stairs that lead to our room. Very disappointed and do not recommend.

Bit of construction noise across the laneway. I feel the stair landings should be one piece not two to make it a bit easier but minor detail. Did need to leave the aircon on full to cool the loft down which made the bottom level quite cold.

-The walls were so thin even conversations and tv were heard from one room to another. - The check in was hard if your flight is late, because reception staff was only until 11pm. The lobby was so dark when we arrived. The owner did not respond to my messages in booking.com regarding our late arrival prior to the trip. We were not informed that keys were left in the counter, it was like an easter egg hunt to find the key and the room. -The place does not have generator, there was a quick power outage during our stay, the owner only responded when the power was back. -the bed was not very comfortable, the foam was very hard

Great stay in the center of Canggu

The location is very convenient to go to the beach and move around Canggu. The staff is helpful and kind. The room is spacious and comfortable for 2 people. The wifi connection is good, enough to work with a laptop.

The bathroom requires minor fixings (for example, the faucet sprang water around) The mattress wasn't super comfortable for my needs, but still good The area is next to the center so it might get noisy at night (this is a feature of the neighborhood, not of the property itself)

Good location

Our room was cleaned very briefly. House keeping call extremely early which was very annoying. Our sheets were not cleaned once in the 6 days we spent here and then upon check out we were charged 1065000 IDR because the sheets were dirty. Also I believe there were bed bugs because I woke up every night with extremely itchy bites all over me including on my face which is disgusting. I am so disappointed in this property.

Great location - central to restaurants, shops, bars, cafes, and Batu Bolong surf beach. The staff was very friendly and welcomining, unlike what you'd probably find at a larger chain hotel. The room service was excellent and the room itself was very spacious and comfortable. The pool was right outside my room and towels were provided. I like the minimalist and stylish feel of the hotel.

Great location, close to local markets and popular restaurants. Room was styled very nicely and it was clean and comfortable. When checking out we had to wait a while for our car to arrive and we were able to leave our bags in a locked storage room and return. Staff were friendly and helpful. There was also a night guard on the premises when returning late, which gave peace of mind.

We booked the two level loft, stairs were slightly steep to get to the top bed. If other guests are talking loudly in the next room or in the hallway, this noise does carry.

Loved my month at Sammy's. I've stayed in many places in Canggu and this was top of the list. :) So quiet even though it's right downtown and walking to the beach and all the shops and cafes. Lovely staff and owner--easy to communicate with and quickly responded to anything I needed (change the empty cooking gas, etc).

The ONLY thing I wish had been different was having a sunny pool to lounge by. (There is a very nice pool area, but it doesn't get much sun....at least during the month of May. :))

The location is fantastic and the rooms and communal areas are lovely. The staff were also wonderful at accomodating us as offered a room upgrade due to construction noise and even allowed for a later checkout.

The hotel was very comfortable, clean, and well-equipped. I originally booked a standard studio bedroom, but was pleasantly surprised to receive a free upgrade to a one-bedroom loft apartment on the second floor. At first, I was a bit unhappy because my luggage was heavy, but the hotel arranged staff to help with it, so everything went smoothly. There was even an adorable dog at the hotel! The staff were all very warm and friendly. The location is also great—close to lots of delicious food and fun places to explore. Overall, I was very happy and satisfied with my stay!

A nice botique hotel

This is a nice botique hotel. It's just off the main road, right in the middle of the busiest part of Canggu. Staff were very friendly, air conditioner was cold and rooms were comfortable. There is a bar and a pool which wasn't busy when I was there.

The apartment it had steep stairs, there wasn't any hand soap, no table lamps and the pilows were very flat. Apart from that still a very good stay. Some construction noise next door which ran from 6am to 9pm but that won't be forever.

Small but luxury hotel in a perfect location. Loved the concrete effect throughout the hotel, was very quiet despite only being a 2 minute walk to all the restaurants. 5 minute walk to the beach, the staff were lovely.

Great location, Clean and Friendly

Sammy's Canggu was amazing choice for a few days to stay in Bali. Check in was super easy. Room was clean with AC (AC was controlled with remote control so I do not need to get up to adjust temperature), blackout curtains and lot of water. I had some additional snacks waiting for me in a room for a small charge. Location was extremely good, walking distance to most of the places, beach, beach clubs, nice restaurants around. It was super clean, quiete and I would definitely come back again. ✨✨✨✨✨
