My favourite stay in Canguu!

I loved everything about this place. If you’re looking for a very chill, keep to yourself stay but like to have some people around, this is it. I stayed in the 6 dorm mixed room - the beds were comfy, the bathrooms were cleaned daily. The staff are so lovely! There’s lot of different areas to relax. It’s so aesthetically pleasing.

The construction during the day is very loud, starts around 9am until the evening. If you work remotely you can’t work from the accomodation or if you want to sleep in, unfortunately.

Great spot, right in the heart of Canggu

The location is excellent - this is one of my favourite spots in Canggu - it's just a stones throw from some of the best restaurants, cafes, shops and a comfortable stroll to the beach. The room was very spacious and beautifully decorated. It was a pleasure to walk in to and stay here. That said, the location is very quiet and feels far removed from the bustle of the main street. Great to have a choice of 2 pool areas.

For a hotel of this calibre, there were a few little things missing in the room design / layout - there was no TV (I appreciated this, but my kids didn't!) and the toilet was a stand alone without a separate wash basin, so you had to use the bathroom to wash hands. All minor things, and it was quite fine for 1-2 nights.

Spacious for a Couple

Location was ideal for exploration of Batu Bolong area, with the main street lined with shops and eateries to meet tourist needs. Nice Decor in the lobby and the rooms as well. The apartment at 500sqft was spacious for a couple, and it was well equipped with furniture and kitchenette as well.

The steps to the 2nd floor apartment were high and not easy to move up with heavy luggage. There was no AV equipment or programmes for entertainment purposes; a smart TV for Netflix and/or Spotify would have added so much value as an option for extended stay.

Nice aesthetic

Great WiFi and a quiet air conditioned coworking space. Good location that’s close to a lot of things but quiet when I was there and had to work at night. Nice aesthetic and spacious rooms. Solid bathroom that was clean.

Some steep stairs and the lights in the staircase to the top floor were out. The back pool could use more sun beds that are in the sun. Would be nice if there was food on site. They will come diligently knocking on your door for checkout compared to other places that have some lenience on checking out.

I was disappointed to find that the listing doesn’t fully match the reality, and most issues seem easily fixable—suggesting that management is not doing its job. In no particular order: Standing water with mold at the base of the stairs caused me to slip twice on the way up to the apartment. The stairwell’s motion-sensor lights rarely switch on, making it hazardous at night. Very steep stairs and no elevator in this three-storey building—clearly unsuitable for older guests or anyone with mobility issues. The motorbike parking area is unlit; an overhanging branch nearly injured my eye. The bathroom near reception/café is full of mosquitoes—a real concern given Bali’s dengue risk. No air-conditioning in the apartment’s living room, despite the tropical climate. A building directly opposite makes the pool area feel claustrophobic. I requested two simple favors, but staff declined, citing “hotel policy.” Overall, the property could be vastly improved with basic improvement and a more guest-oriented attitude.

Everything! Price quality, the common zones, the pools, the nature around. I actually got a huge window next to my bed that I loved. Came for 2 days and extended for 1 week. For a hostel is very calm, no parties, no loud noises, just chill and relaxing. Loved it

Disappointed

Location and friendly staff

To fair my expectations were a lot higher before I made the decision to stay in Soulhouse Bali. Even tho all the staff were lovely and location were perfect , the rooms were less than basic. We had strange odur all our stay no matter how many times we kept the windows open. There were ants everywhere on the floor and reading the reviews , we knew this wasn’t going to change if we change rooms. The bathroom shower was broken and we didnt have any nice complimentary little things that you would expect from a decent hotel , that is not cheap in Canggu . Our flat was 5A which was on the 2nd floor, that can be a lot of hard work specially in that heat. Walking to and from the room as well felt like we are walking on a little pathway between the Pool and the plants that we felt many times we were going to fall in the pool. As I mentioned, we didnt think complaining would change anything and we already were exhausted, travelling for more than 72 hours But the honest truth , we are hugely disappointed.

our family stayed in the C5 two room apartment and very much enjoyed our stay. We highly recommend this property. The staff are all very friendly and help. The rooms and beds were serviced daily. The location to the beach and Canggu restaurants were right out the front door.

Superb

The location was outstanding. You're in the heart of Canggu. At the end of the driveway is a fun Mexican restaurant. Cross the street for a delicious breakfast at Milk and Madu. And walk five minutes to get to the beach - check out Skool restaurant above the Lawn beach club for some truly outstanding fare (book ahead or grab a (hot!) seat at the chef's counter). The room itself has a beautiful sense of space and light. The design is beautiful - the wood, the finishings, and the fabrics make it light, open, airy, and relaxing. Neat little kitchen with water provided. The pool looked lovely, but we didn't get a chance to go for a dip there. While we were worried after receiving a message from the property alerting us to ongoing renovations at the property, this ended up being a non-issue; we were not disturbed by any constructions sounds. It was the perfect little weekend getaway.

We're used to sleeping on a queen or king size bed. But the bed here was a standard double. While we were OK with it for a couple of nights, it would have been less than ideal for a longer stay. The sheets and pillows were soft and comfy, but extra pillows would be a bonus. There was no TV in our room. Again, this was fine for a short getaway, but for a longer stretch it might be bothersome.
