Great price, good value!

I really enjoyed my stay here – great value for the price! The room was spacious, the bed clean and comfortable, and the shower had unlimited hot water, which was a nice bonus. The staff were super polite and helpful, and the room was cleaned upon request. The location is definitely the highlight – just a short walk to the beach, bars, and restaurants, which is surprisingly rare in Bali. You can actually walk around the area, which made everything super convenient. The AC wasn’t working perfectly, but I managed to find a sweet spot to turn it on and off when needed. I didn’t spend much time at the pool, but it looked fine. Overall, it was a comfortable, quiet stay with no noise from the street or nearby bars. Would definitely recommend for anyone looking for a well-located and affordable place to stay!

There were a few minor downsides to my stay. The AC wasn’t working properly, though I managed to find a specific angle where it could be turned on and off. The community kitchen was quite messy, so I didn’t feel comfortable using it – luckily, there are plenty of cheap and tasty restaurants nearby. The walls between rooms aren’t very soundproof, so you can occasionally hear what's happening next door 😅. Still, the room itself was quiet and set away from the street, which I appreciated, especially when I wasn't feeling well.

Great value for money, perfect location, friendly staff

Great value for money!! Staff is super friendly and helpful, perfect location near to everything basically. Clean and comfy. Small pool but big enough for a plunge. Went many times to Penny Lane Restaurant which has awesome food and daily to Crates Cafe for lunch.

Aircon made some noises but I’m sure they can fix it. Night guards sometimes smoke inside the lobby and it gets around the whole hotel and comes into the room through the aircon as well, as a non-smoker this really affects my lungs during my sleep. Please consider the guests health even if you don’t care about yours, thank you 🙏

Staff were super friendly and helpful. My only complaint would be the pool is more on the chlorine side but that at least means it’s clean!

An Exceptional Stay in Canggu: Comfort, Community, and Convenience at A7 Guesthouse

I had a fantastic stay at this property! The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive. When the front desk staff weren't on-site, there was security present. The staff offer to clean the room at your convenience, allowing you to request it whenever it suits you, rather than being limited to a specific time window like many other properties. The room itself was clean, spacious, and filled with natural light. It also had a small balcony, a TV, multiple outlets (including one conveniently located by the bed), a safe, and shelving to store your belongings. The common areas were also excellent – I loved the pool area, and the rooftop was a highlight. It offered comfortable bean bags and great views, with the ocean on one side and volcanoes on the other. Another great perk was the kitchen area. While compact, it was well-equipped with everything you could need: a fridge, stovetop, utensils, dishes, pots, and pans. Plus, they provided drinking water free of charge. The location was ideal – there were numerous restaurants and coffee shops nearby (definitely check out BGS for great coffee), and the beach was just a 5-10 minute walk away. Having stayed in other parts of Canggu, I can confidently say this has been my favourite so far. What really made this place stand out, though, was the sense of community. I’m not sure what it was about the property, but it seemed to bring travellers together. I already can’t wait to return to A7 Guesthouse. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Canggu!

If I had to be nitpicky, it would have been ideal to have a desk in the room, and the shower's water pressure could have been a bit stronger; however, the water temperature got very hot which seems rare in Bali.

Comfort and peaceful

The place is great. the rooms are big and very comfortable, they have pool great size to chill in. it super close to shops and the beach, and the clubs so whatever you wanting to get you can find it in less than 10 min walk or even fast in a bike. I definitely recommend this place!!

The location is perfect, near the beach and a lot of nice restaurants. Stuff was nice and helpful. Pool was alright (good value for the money).

We had a room on a ground level, scooters were parking in front of our window, and we could hear all the noises from the street. Also, it was very dark in the room. Towels were with holes in them. Room smelled very mouldy. On the last night, we had to wake up at 4 am. because of the smell that was coming out of the shower drain (bathroom doors only closed from inside the bathroom), it smelled like waste water, we had to stay awake and ventilate our room up to 7am,not sure if it was even safe to breathe it..

It’s a great location and the receptionist was incredibly helpful, friendly and welcoming

The room was dark with a small window that exposed you to everyone walking by the road. Very noisy, couldn’t sleep as the walls were thin enough to hear all the drunk 3am conversations. There were cobwebs in my shower like it hadn’t be used/cleaned in forever. The sink plug was jammed so all my toothpaste water got collected over time. The swimming towel I was given had huge holes in it like a rag. Photos of the venue were extremely misleading. The outdoor areas were barren with no seating or chill areas. Photos of indoor chill areas are literally the exact same area that was styled different ways for the photos. I instantly expressed my disappointment and there was no response from the venue or even booking.com customer service. Still up to this moment in time, nothing. Do yourself a favour and stay at Frii Hotel right next door. For only 100k more they have clean premises, hotel services and a fantastic pool to chill at in the sun.

In the past 2 months I have stayed here a few times when I’m Canggu. The location is fantastic, the rooms are simple, comfortable and clean. The girls at reception are nice. The Wi-Fi is fantastic if you need to work online.

Good

First, the location of the guesthouse is really good since it's only four minutes on foot to the beach. There are also other decent small supermarkets, cafe's (like BGS) and Warungs (e.g. Varuna Warung) nearby which make it convenient to even walk to some. The staff is also quite friendly. All in all a decent package for a short-term stay for its cheaper price.

The facilities of the room itself aren't the best. The AC is quite loud which made sleeping for me a dance between turning the AC off and on again as it was either a bit too hot or too noisy. The toilet was also not the best. Since the toilets in Bali aren't built to flush down toilet paper you are reliant on the bidet. The bidet however has a really strong pressure which can sometimes even hurt.

Exceptional

The hotel was amazing, the location was perfect very close to all of the restaurants and bars, but far enough so it was quiet at night. Everything was walking distance. The room I got was the best, it was in the very corner so I had a lot of privacy, and it also had a small private balcony, one of the things I also loved was how much natural light the room have. Also the pool is amazing and clean with a nice area to chill.

They did not bring towels for my room, fortunately I had my own, but it would have been nice to have an extra one. The safety box did not work. Not a big deal.
