Lovely oasis in the middle of busy Canggu

Gorgeous place, surrounded by plants and with a lovely fresh pool to cool down at the end of the day. The staff is really lovely and they bring you tea or coffee every morning. They will also clean the room every day if you want to. The room is beautiful, the bed big and comfortable. Right in the middle of the action in Canggu, great location.

The bathroom is quite old and in need of renovation and a deep clean. A good descaler would go a long way. The shower head is fixed and needs to be descaled. The toilet seat was broken. The sink tap wouldn't stay open. In general, the bathroom needs attention. The shared fridge and kitchen need a good clean too. We were given towels that were clean but badly stained with some brown stuff. I asked the staff to change them and they gave us two that were still stained but less than the previous two. The bed sheets had stains too. They were all clean but old and just need replacing at this stage.

Perfect little oasis in the busy Canggu

Location was perfect - 14 minutes on footy from La Brisa and Echo beach. 10 minutes with scooter to Finns. You enter through the street, but then walk back, where you find a little oasis. It was great to return there after a long day. Nice, lush, quiet. Pool is small but sufficient. There are many many restaurants, cafes, spas, shops and exchanges around. We ate some amazing food in the area. The beds were comfortable. Yes, there was a little damp smell, but nothing significant. Towels were dry. We didn’t really interact with the staff, other than when they texted us prior to check in, to ask if we need a pick up somewhere. We didn’t use this service and took gojack. But we didn’t need anything. There is no breakfast, but many many breakfast places in the area. I would definitely recommend this stay. The price-value was amazing.

The only thing that bothered me was the low pressure in the shower. It was hard to wash hair.

Great oasis in the middle of Canggu

Great peaceful location tucked away from the chaos of Canggu. Room was nice and comfortable and the villa isn’t very big so you don’t have to share it with too many people.

False ad far from the beach and no beach at all during high tide

The room was quiet, far enough from the street to not hear the street noise

False advertisement. The property is advertised as "Beachfront Location: Melati Bali 2 in Canggu offers direct beachfront access with stunning views", which is totally false. It is located more than 15 min walking to the beach, there is no direct access, and no stunning views. During high tide there is no beach at all.

Calm location in the center of Canggu

Location is really great. Staff was very nice. And the swimming pool with a lot of plants make the place really cozy.

You heard a lot of noise from the construction site next to the hotel. Especially in the upper floor. It's ok on the lower floors.

Big, very comfy bed. The room was very clean and staff were always happy to help with any problem. Laundry was done to a very high standard in good price and time.

My boyfriend is Balinese so he loved the authenticity of the aesthetic. It is a tranquil little gem in the middle of busy canggu. Also, the first comfortable bed and pillows I have had in Bali!

It’s like a hidden gem with a secret garden and sodden dreamy rooms

The location is great as it’s super central in Canggu. The bad thing is that it’s a the end of a tiny street very dark, with construction sites and if you are a solo traveler can feel very scary when it’s dark. Too bad!

Value for money - Simple and great.

Great value for money. The room is spacious and clean, the bathroom is large - not too airy though. It's filled with the basics and very simple, but it's perfect. The pool area is small but great for a morning or afternoon dip. The property is right in the center of Canggu with everything you could need a short walk away - restaurants, bars, beach. This was our first time staying at this location and it was just what we needed to explore the neighbourhood.

The bathroom could have a larger ventilating space. Nothing else.

Location was pretty good. It was pretty inside near the bungalows

Access to the accommodation was very sketchy, a building site with huge holes everywhere. (Dangerous) the accommodation was basic, for the price you pay, you can definitely find nicer and more comfortable. Toilet didn’t flush, stains on the walls.

The value for money is exceptional. The location is fantastic, right amoungst the action of canggu, walking distance to everything, bt the property is set back a little so it's a lovely peaceful place to retreat back to after a busy, noisy day out on the street.

There really wasn't anything we didn't enjoy.

Good

Very nice Traditional Balinese vibe and atmosphere. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable .

Poor communication. Nobody spoke English except one person who is not always there. They pretend they understand you , but in fact they don’t - it creates a lot of confusion. I was there only for 2 days , and one of the days it was no electricity and water.

Lovely garden view hotel!

Lovely hotel in Canggu! This hotel is unique in its style. I stayed in the room with balcony; a perfect size room, very minimal and romantic. The balcony is perfect to have a little time for yourself while enjoying the amazing garden view. The staff is friendly and very available. The location is perfect, you can easily walk to many restaurants, shops and to the beach within a few minutes. I am a female solo traveller and I felt safe around the area. I had lovely experience and I couldn’t recommend this enough!☺️ One thing to remember is mosquito spray (general thing for Bali).

decoration, space, location, friendliness of the staff, welcome drink upon arrival, I checked in 3 hours early and it wasn't any problem.

minor details: water pressure of the shower, noise when restaurants and bars are closing around 22.30. But that's really minor details, I loved staying there. Ah, the windows don't lock well, so if you have valuables in your room, pay attention to that.

Hidden homestay in the center of Canggu

The staff are very helpful and friendly. The bed was quite comfortable. The hotel is located near lots of shops and restaurants, and it's only a 10 minute walk from the beach.

The hotel was difficult to find, as it is hidden down a narrow alley and there's no sign to indicate its location. The door to the room doesn't close properly, so you can hear the other guests outside pretty well, as well as the chirping birds and critters outside at night. The bathroom also has a really weird smell, probably due to the mystery pipe that brings in dirt and sludge from outside to the floor drain.

Right in the middle of Canggu. Few minutes from the beach. Beautiful garden with a small pond and a pool. The hotel and it's rooms were super nice.

There was quite a noisy generator or AC which was running the whole day. Also, there was a reconstruction next to the hotel and was quite noisy as well. Night were quiet.

Look beautiful, but for the price, cleanliness and lack of wifi, doesn't provide a good balance.

Internet is not suitable for working Rooms a very noisy, you hear everyone coming home at night talking etc, can hear the people above you walking around in their rooom, showering etc, so if you want to get a good sleep pre midnight with family, not so suitable. During the 1 week, we had the room cleaned once, towels still had smell of mens deoderant from previous use. Beautiful Balinese style; albeit, dark and lightless inside the room, toilet was stained and dirty, aircon makes room moist and damp.

Pleasant

Good location in the centre of Canggu - able to walk to nearby shops/restaurants/cafes and beach close by. The decor is very pretty with the wooden design and plants around the pool. The staff around the grounds were friendly and smiley and tried to help as possible. We didn't opt for breakfast but they offer free tea/coffee if wanted - there is a great coffee place just over the road though.

We stay in two rooms - my brother stayed in the room above the reception and it flooded with the rain coming through the roof luckily not affecting his bed/stuff! - the staff did fix this the same day though. Also the bathroom flooded every time he showered. When he discussed this with the person in charge they were dismissive. The overall cleanliness of the rooms isn't great - the bedding had some stains on and the towel provided for myself was fraying and old. It didn't bother me too much but some people would not tolerate this. There is construction work next door which would bother some travellers.

Simple and easy. All the basics are covered

The place was nice and comfy. Good location if you want to be in the hotspot of Canggu, the beach and many hype restaurants/bars/coffee places + small shops are all in walking distance. It's convenient if you don't want to drive a scooter.

The bathroom and dishes provided could be cleaner. Many bars around so during the night it's noisy.

we arrived late and went to the wrong hotel by accident. We called the owner as they said they had left a key out, however as we was at the wrong hotel we couldnt get the key so the owner and her husband come out at 3am to pick us up out of the goodness of there heart. This not only shows how nice of people they are , it also suns up the balinese way. Very happy to be there , everything was perfect. Thankyou!

Tropical & magical place

It felt like we where living in the middle of the djungel, beautiful plants with a pool where you could take a dip. Only a few minutes walk to the beach.

The cutlery we received for breakfast every morning was always dirty. So where the glasses. So we needed to hand wash them every day

Cosy haven, excellent value and location

Big, comfortable clean rooms with a cosy bed and balcony. Quiet haven close to beach and restaurants. The staff were amazing also. I had to go to hospital from food poisoning and one staff member drove me there and waited for me. My room was double booked the first night due to a technology failure, so they moved my things to and from an equally nice hotel for one night.

Drainage in bathroom not so good, water stays on the floor a while after shower.
