Great location, waking distance from train station. Spacious, well equipped apartments. Good value for money.
There was no hair dryer in our apartment but I managed to get one from our kids' apartment.

The location was perfect since it was just 5 minute walk from the train station so arrival and departure was super easy. Also from the train station there were connections everywhere so again, for travelling within the location it was amazing. We were supplied a code which was usable at the street door and the room door as well so check-in was the easiest that could be. The room was quite large, quiet, clean and had a lot of windows, bed was comfortable, bathroom was really nice with great shower. We received some coffee and tea and we didn't have to communicate with anybody and nobody bothered us. The location was also good in sense that we lived straight at the city square (rectagle more like) and we had cafes, restaurants and shopping close at hand (when open).
I would say that this accomodation was overally great but if I should point out something I would say that it would better fit a larger city, especially when it comes to value for money. I liked it a lot but the surroundings were not really that hot. Small town with pretty much everything closing for the weekend and with that the price seems not fitting for such a small place. Seems to me I had comparable price experience in European capitals. Also it would be nice to have some means of heating food like microwave or oven. But overally it was a great experience and we pretty much didn't miss anything.

Paid parking is aroumd 300 meters from the apartment.

This place had a unique self-check-in system where you verify your ID and take a selfie before receiving a code at 3 p.m. for the night of your stay. Once inside, the room was spacious and comfortable, centrally located, with a good shower. The pillows was a bit soft, but otherwise, everything went smoothly. Nice central stay but... and read the BUT....
⚠️ After a satisfying first night in Villach, I booked the next evening at the Limehome accomodation in Salzburg. I am a Genius Booking.com member, with over 14 years of booking experience and a Level 3 status, and despite my extensive travels, I have never encountered anything like this. While the first night was fine, the second booking was a complete nightmare. Without warning, as I was en route to Salzburg, my booking was canceled, citing an ID issue. Despite multiple emails and messages, I was accused of fraud and a safety risk, and was eventually I told I’d get a refund—though this would take 14 days. ( Not received back yet.)
⚠️ I strongly caution anyone against this self-check-in system if you’re not comfortable with it, as it left me in a very difficult situation, and I was just lucky to find another place at a very short notice in Salzburg.
