Being less than 10 minutes from the train station, just off a Main Street with multiple restaurants and bars, makes it ideally located. The room is large and well appointed.

Being off the Main Street means it’s quite noisy until late evening but the double glazed windows block out most of the noise. Saying that, no AC means it can get quite warm when the weather is hot. But that’s only going to be peak summer months in this part of the southern Alps.

Great location, waking distance from train station. Spacious, well equipped apartments. Good value for money.

There was no hair dryer in our apartment but I managed to get one from our kids' apartment.

This place had a unique self-check-in system where you verify your ID and take a selfie before receiving a code at 3 p.m. for the night of your stay. Once inside, the room was spacious and comfortable, centrally located, with a good shower. The pillows was a bit soft, but otherwise, everything went smoothly. Nice central stay but... and read the BUT....

⚠️ After a satisfying first night in Villach, I booked the next evening at the Limehome accomodation in Salzburg. I am a Genius Booking.com member, with over 14 years of booking experience and a Level 3 status, and despite my extensive travels, I have never encountered anything like this. While the first night was fine, the second booking was a complete nightmare. Without warning, as I was en route to Salzburg, my booking was canceled, citing an ID issue. Despite multiple emails and messages, I was accused of fraud and a safety risk, and was eventually I told I’d get a refund—though this would take 14 days. ( Not received back yet.) ⚠️ I strongly caution anyone against this self-check-in system if you’re not comfortable with it, as it left me in a very difficult situation, and I was just lucky to find another place at a very short notice in Salzburg.
