Rush Hill Cottage - with parking for 2 cars

Very quaint, comfy beds

Would have liked a separate shower

Location was great, as was parking space.

Traffic noise was almost annoying

Good location with easy access to Bath although on a busy road. Comfortable beds with clean bedding and plenty of towels.

The concrete slabs for the parking area are all uneven and broken making parking tricky and access unsafe. Garden furniture broken so nothing to sit on if a nice day. Most of the house and garden could do with a bit of TLC.

The property was in a good location for travel into Bath. Odd Down Park and Ride was a 5 minute drive which was great for us and saved parking costs. Property was clean and beds were comfy.

On arrival the property looks slightly different to photos online in regards to the bathroom and living space. To begin you have to drive up a curb onto a run down parking space which was difficult as the road is so busy. The uneven slabs could be dangerous for the less mobile. The garden space is run down and could do with a tidy up as it could be utilised in the warmer weather. The disappointing aspects were the sofa and chair in the lounge were very uncomfortable and the shower in the bathroom was a nightmare to use. If these were changed the property would be a lot more comfortable. One thing to note is the bathroom is downstairs, stairs that are steep and feel like they could give way. Communication wasn’t great throughout either. I specifically requested fans to be at the property due to the warm weather. I was assured they were there but on arrival there was only one fan between three rooms. I messaged to ask for more but didn’t receive a response for nearly two days and then still nothing was done to rectify that throughout our 5 night stay. The bedrooms were roasting in the evening - again, something that’s rectifiable. Overall, property is more suitable to a short night or two stay and we were glad the beds were comfy as if not we would have considered leaving and staying somewhere different. A bit of TLC would do it the world of good.
