This place will stay in our hearts forever. Right out of a Jane Austen novel.

This placed provided serenity and complete peace, very therapeutic in a way. The view and terrace itself were amazing and we really felt in touch with nature while staying here. Felt like a place trapped in time and right out of a Jane Austen novel. We even had Swans swim by the place on the river. About a 20-25 min walk into the center so we really felt unplugged while here. Check in and out was very easy and place was clean! Will have to visit again in the summer !

Wish we could have rented a boat while staying there but I understand we visited during the winter so it was not available.

We loved the location, how easy it was to park, restaurant on site and how clean the apartment was. It had everything that we needed with clear instructions on how everything worked. We stayed in the apartment which we loved but we will definitely stay in one of the ones that has a balcony in the summer months

Picturesque, well located and comfortable accommodation

Beautiful, picturesque location. Conveniently located near to town for a short walk in. We had an issue the first night but the management were so helpful and apologetic, we received an extra nights stay which was unexpected but really appreciated. The apartment is beautiful, I will definitely be back in the summer.

Perfect apartment for two

Perfect accommodation for our weekend in Bath. Lovely apartment in a great location which was only a short walk to the centre. The restaurant on site was an added bonus and squeezed us in for a delicious lunch. 100% recommend.

Comfy and quiet for a few days stay

Small but functional room with small kitchen area (no oven but a microweave and tea, coffee facilities). Quiet area and not too far from the main attractions in Bath. It was clean and perfect few a few days. Free parking, there was always a space to park.

Fantastic property on the river !

Lovely self contained apartment right on the river. Idyllic setting which was tranquil with the added bonus of a great restaurant on the property. It is a walkable distance into the City if you are reasonably fit. The property was very clean & well presented. I would recommend this as a great place to stay when visiting Bath & hope to stay there again.

Everything about this property is exceptional. The parking is a huge advantage. A short walk into the main city with lovely landmarks to visit on the way. Quietness with beautiful scenery. So comfortable and cosy (well heated and gas fire) The bed was so comfortable. Shower is very powerful and fast hot water.

Wonderful and peaceful location

Accommodation was clean and as advertised with a wonderful view. The welcome pack was very much appreciated and meant we didn't need to go hunting for a local store to get us through the first day. We are both looking forward to coming back to this property.

Everything we needed was here. The accommodation was really lovely, spotlessly clean, warm and cosy. The location was stunning and just a short walk to the city centre. Easy check in/out. Would definitely stay again if we returned to Bath and would highly recommend. Thank you for everything

Message received in plenty of time detailing how to collect the keys from the lockbox at the property. On entering the property the kitchen dinner was festively decorated and had every amenity you could wish for. The lounge area was comfortable and had access to a balcony overlooking the river… Bedroom was a good size, bed was very comfortable. The whole place was clean and felt welcoming from the moment we stepped inside. Would recommend this place to anyone in a shot… Bonus was the fact that there is a nice quirky bar/restaurant 50 yards away… (great for a nightcap … Rosie the owner?? Barmaid?? Was very welcoming and accommodating)…

Literally nothing, we were blown away with the whole place…. We thought it seemed a bit on the pricey side when we booked, but felt it was value for money once we got there and saw first hand what was on offer!!

Lovely Christmas market stay

This is the third time we have stayed . The staff are really friendly. The accommodation is a about 10 minutes walk to Bath. Parking on site is really good. We stayed in The apartment which was lovely and very warm.

Nice, quite, convenient, relaxed...

It is a small, quite place along the river. Easy to park the car (try to find that in Bath) and a short stroll to the property. The neigboring restaurant has really nice food for a decent price. So you do not have to cook while on vacation. But even that is possible if you really want to.

The wifi is really slow ... did I mind? No ... because it gave me a valid excuse to not work. And downloading a Netflix movie was still possible and watch it later. And you have to like the really soft matras.

Charming and relaxing place to stay, close to the town

The building was very charming with an excellent view, the parking was great and I was able to get a take-away delivered to the building easily! Heating was on when we arrived which was really nice.

Had a few spider in the building but not a surprise considering the age and type of building this was.

Fabulous break

The location, by the river was lovely. The property is unique and very special. Well equipped and we stayed at the The Swan House which is spacious. The parking is excellent and one of the reasons we picked The Boating Station, but will stay again if we return to Bath. Ideal to walk in to Bath down Great Pultney St. we missed the boat in the morning so be ready for 9.30 !!!! informative book with useful information

Beautiful quite accommodation on the river

Location excellent - not far to walk to town and the boat in the morning was a real treat. Apartment is beautiful and so spacious. Gorgeous views of the river and so quiet. Parking on site was also a huge bonus. Cannot fault it!

The Garden Room " Bath Boating Station "

We had the garden room for a b'day trip to bath, great location, the free boat trip into town was a bonus, the staff who we met were friendly, even the dog that visited the patio area! Room was clean but the sink in the kitchen could do with some sink unblocker for the smell, as unless the plug was in it smelt a little funky, the first night we were a bit cold but once we turned the radiators up the place was snug! The matress a bit firm due to it being sprung, the shower was great & alot of stuff was supplied, which i didnt realise it would be so again a plus! A nice place with a lovely view & easy access to the town & sights! All in all we would go back as it would be lovely in summer!

Overall, we loved it. We would look to stay at Toad Cottage again when revisiting Bath.

It's a great value-for-money, cute little property in a great setting on the bank of the river Avon. Privacy, space, comfort & good vibes a plenty. The owners provide a full and completely detailed information book, left in the cottage, with everything we might need to know about local services, facilities, and what to do in emergency situations. Otherwise, we was left alone to enjoy ourselves the entire time which was great. Full kitchen facilities provide lots of options & freedom for food - all the basic utensils you could need, fridge, oven/hob, and consumables like foil and oil. And with the on-site restaurant being an option for Thurs-Sun, that's fantastic too, though we didn't personally try it as we stayed Sun-Wed. On-site parking is super useful and spacious enough, and they even gave us as much time as we wanted to leave our car there after check-out on our last day free of charge, meaning we could get some lunch and do some final site seeing before heading home. Definitely one of the best accommodation options in Bath from what we saw, and hands-down beats the appeal of just getting a hotel room that doesn't provide you half as much and at similar pricing. Mimi (?) the dog was also a lovely surprise visitor too.

The seemingly excessive use of water softener tablets has made the water from the taps so soft that it is in fact actually impossible to actually wash any kind of soap off of your hands/skin. Washing for 5+ minutes, only to have your hands instantly and fully re-lather up when you rub them together, leaving you frustrated and just rubbing them dry with a towel, which then leaves the soap residue on you, and seriously dries out your skin. And if you then wet your hands again after this and rub them together? They will lather up again as if you JUST put soap on them! As an eczema suffer, this is terrible to deal with. Same thing in the shower. Soap, shampoo, conditioner - you literally cannot wash the stuff off of you. And combine this with the fact that it is a walk-in shower, with no in-shower mat provided to assist with grip, leaves this a very slippery and potentially unsafe experience each time you step in. In comparison, no other taps used at any other venue in Bath during our entire 4 night/3 day stay caused this problem, so it's definitely something being done here. Maybe this isn't always the case, but it's definitely something the owners should consider changing if this is what's normal for them.

Parking and directions were easy and the Location was perfect taking an easy 15 mins to walk to the Abbey. Apartment was well fitted out and the bed was soft and comfortable. Site was quiet and peaceful.
