Spacious home in Bath, nature and city!

It was very cosy and felt very private which was nice

Interesting location. Shower was fine. Beds were comfortable. WiFi worked. Nice cat! My youngest enjoyed staying there.

I really think this place needs an honest review. I think it's an old Gardener's cottage? It was like staying at my grandparents' house. Very dated and really in need of some TLC. Everything about it is old. I guess the clues are in the photos if you really look, but it's very over grown, and rather forlorn. The view is rapidly disappearing to an untamed garden. 'Balcony' seems rather a stretch. You can't sit comfortably on that ancient old chaise longue with springs in your bum. Old electrics, old appliances. Odd few old mugs, some chipped. Very tired kitchen ( cupboards open when you open drawers as it's all sagging) Dishwasher didn't work. We never tried the oven. No welcome milk or anything - very unusual these days. We felt like we weren't expected, though obviously we were. A box of truly fossilized coffee. Lots of loo rolls and cleaning products in cupboards, but only 1 towel each ( not enough for 3 females with long hair ) and 1 pillow each. Cobwebs everywhere. Loo was stained and it had a smell of old urine. Dust on all higher surfaces. Chipped paint, old and poor finish, dirty floor round the bin and in corners. It was odd and had a slightly neglected feel. It was a nice walk downhill into a Bath but a beast of a walk home, especially after a long day sightseeing. We managed it 2 nights but it was miserable dragging tired children up the hill! We left nothing of value in the house as didn't feel the doors were v secure, so lugged work laptops with us. Owner gave arrival and departure instructions ok and it wasn't a bad value stay, but disappointing.

It was a good location with good views. The garden could have been looked after better. Seems like it’s neglected but otherwise, the bungalow was really good, spacious and comfortable. Thank you

Garden seems like it’s neglected

A wonderful location with stunning views over Bath. The cottage is full of character, rustic but very cosy, and offers everything needed for a comfortable stay. We appreciated the thoughtful extras, comfortable beds, great shower, and beautiful garden. The peaceful and private setting, reached via a charming private driveway, was a real highlight while still being close enough to walk into the city.

The property has a lot of charm and could perhaps benefit from a little extra care in some areas, but this was only a small point. We especially loved the garden and the peaceful atmosphere. The small seating area was a little overgrown, but it did not take away from the overall experience. The walk down into the city was lovely, although the return walk was a little more demanding in the 30°C heat.
