Garden maisonette in Bath city centre

Lovely stay in a great location. Great communication with property manager!

We stayed five nights in the apartment. The standout feature of the property is its central location. Nearly the whole of the city center is within an easy 1/2 mile walk. We had driven to Bath assuming that a car would be necessary. Street parking in the neighborhood is virtually impossible, but a large car park is less than five minutes walk if you don't mind a 19 pound overnight charge. We turned-in our rental car on our second day in town and relied on walking or Bath's very good Uber overage. The apartment was very comfortable and the kitchen well equipped for home cooking and dining in. Our pre-stay communications with Claire were very efficient and an information packet found on arrival was well done and quite helpful. We enjoyed our time getting to know Bath and would not hesitate to recommend "Garden Maisonette."

We stayed at Claire's lovely home for one night as part of a week-long trip around the UK. It was a perfect location from which to explore the city with our young adult sons. The decor, large windows and charming garden all helped to make the stay memorable.

Great property for our family of 3. Communication with the owner was easy and quick. We loved Bath and it's small town feel. So much to see and do and this apartment was the perfect location to do it from.

we absolutely loved our stay and all the comforts provided. My only regret is that we couldn’t stay longer! Claire was absolutely lovely to deal with and we will hopefully be back soon.

Lovely apartment clean comfy sofas great location would stay there again

When you walk down the lovely streets in Bath, and you see rows of imposing stone apartment buildings, you are inclined to think that all those stone dwellings must be kind of dark. Sure enough, when you walk into the main hall of this property, there are no windows. You enter the flat and turn on the light because, again, no windows. Then you start opening the doors and are immediately bathed in light. The spacious and comfortable living/dining area has an entire long wall of enormous windows, all facing a private garden with delicious views of greenery. We were there in late September, and there were still pink roses blooming at the top of a large bush. Across the hall, the kitchen is also bright and cheerful. It’s a good-sized kitchen and Doug – he’s the one who cooks – found it comfortable and easy to work in. Doug also appreciated an excellent grocery store two minutes away, for those times when we were too tired to visit on of the nearby restaurants. Downstairs, there’s a bright and charming smaller bedroom and a master bedroom that will knock your socks off. That pretty and private garden you can admire from the upstairs living area is right outside the bedroom door. Again, enormous windows, so you wake up in a private garden of your very own. A door in the bedroom lets you walk into the garden without walking through the rest of the flat. Kitchen well equipped. Nicely decorated. Living room/kitchen on top floor, bedrooms and bathroom bottom floor. Comfortable beds. Host very responsive.

The maisonette is absolutely perfect! I stayed here for a night with my two children and we loved it. The location can’t be beat - the Charlotte Street parking lot is very close, affordable, and safe - and it was such a delight to be able to stroll into the heart of the city in just a few minutes! It’s decorated beautifully and was immaculately clean. I really appreciated the full kitchen and washing machine - if we’re ever back in Bath we would stay here in a heartbeat!

Absolutely loved Bath and this beautiful flat, which is close to everything. Very much appreciated extra pillows and blankets. Shower was luxurious. It’s an easy walk into the city, which is jaw droppingly beautiful. Everyone in town was so friendly and welcoming! (I’m sure England winning the football match that day helped!) Can’t say enough about our experience. Host was very responsive and accommodating. You won’t find a better place!

The apartment is very charming and had everything we needed for our stay. We are a family of four with adult children. There was plenty of room for our group. The location was great. We walked to all the points of interest from the apartment. There is a grocery story very close which was convenient. We had a wonderful time in Bath and would definitely stay here again. Our host was helpful and provided excellent communication and assistance.

Enjoyed all the amenities and comforts of this property. The host, Claire, was easily reachable for questions. We loved the location, a short, easy walk to all the central attractions. Highly recommend this property.

The flat is immaculately clean and beautifully decorated. It’s also very quiet. The bathroom is lovely with a great shower. The beds are very comfy. The garden access is wonderful if you get the weather to enjoy it! Everything you need is within very easy walking distance. The host is very responsive. We would definitely stay here again.

Everything about our stay in bath was perfect. A quick walk to the bus stops and a block away from the grocery store made everything easier. Beds were comfortable and the neighborhood was quiet. Great value!

Perfect location and well appointed for a place to use as a central base while exploring Bath and the Cotswolds.

This was the most beautiful and spacious place we rented while in southern England. The unit is two floors - so, caution to those who have difficulty on stairs. The sofa sleepers on the main floor were comfortable. The two bedrooms are in the basement along with the modern bathroom. Our only difficulty was two of us staying in the basement bedrooms have allergies. Our allergies were stirred up sleeping downstairs. This tells me there’s probably mold in the basement. However there is no smell of mold, the basement is not overly damp.

Exactly as advertised, the location is perfect. Only a 10 minute walk from city center, a few short blocks away from great bars and restaurants, and very close to a beautiful walking tail near the river. The rental was comfortable and well stocked with things like towels, bedding, kitchen utensils, etc. beautiful sunlight in the main upstairs room.

This flat has so much going for it and I can't imagine anyone not enjoying their stay. Claire is a fabulous host and very responsive to questions about the area and transportation. Bath is a lovely city-full of charm and character. This flat is located within walking distance of many exciting sights and dining experiences. The neighborhood is quiet in the evening and we felt safe. The flat would be ideal for families or for a "girls trip" as was the case here. You will definitely be comfortable, and as I mentioned you will feel safe. Give it serious consideration when you plan your trip to Bath.

Very enjoyable

Claire was fabulous. The apartment was exactly as pictured. Location was great for walking to all the sites in Bath. We really enjoyed our stay and would stay there again should we come back to Bath.

A cosy flat that allows one to walk to all major sites in city Bath. Only warning to those with trouble negotiating stairs… otherwise quite a nice retreat with very comfy beds. If noise bothers you, bring earplugs to mute the seagulls that get quite noisy at 3:30am.

This is a lovely spacious apartment filled with light and simply decorated. It’s in a great location just outside of Bath’s crush of tourists but close enough to walk everywhere. A surprising hide a way with its own private garden. Claire was very responsive and helpful.

Enjoy the whole night

The place was amazing with excellent location. But the real treat was the owner. Communication was perfect and she even went above and beyond by setting up a Christmas tree for us.

The host had informed us the shower wasn’t working but neglected to mention the bathtub was also not working. The bedrooms are on the lower level and the walls had damp on them which made breathing difficult for some of our group. And the slats on the bed fell through when we got up in the morning. The location, however, is lovely.

We loved staying at Claire's Bath home! The beds were comfortable, the master bedroom had so much space and closet you never felt cramped. The living area was bright and felt like home. The location was ideal, a very short walk to the city center with loads of affordable restaurants, coffee shops and bakeries. The Roman Baths were 10 min walk, Bath Spa train station 15 min walk. I would stay here again if I ever am lucky enough to return! It really did make this trip ideal!

This Maisonette was perfect in every way. Spacious for our family of 3. 2 floors with lovely, comfortable ambience, well-stocked kitchen (including freezer as well as fridge, which wasn’t the case everywhere we stayed). Decor calming, lots of videos and books. Location ~3 blocks away from Pump Room and Abbey. Parking in 24 hr lot about a block away. Great communication. Wished we could have stayed longer.
