The pricing. It was advertised as £375 for a property for 8 but had to pay extra for people and linen over three people

A really lovely stay and brilliant value for the city centre and size of apartment. As a group of 8 there was plenty of space and bedrooms were a good size. Travelling in the heat of summer the roof top terrace was a huge bonus and had stunning views. Brilliant central location (road noise was a bit loud for sons sleeping downstairs in lounge with window opens over street). Used Lansdown Park and Ride which worked well.

Lighter bedlinen for summer would be great and perhaps a couple of stools/extra folding chairs for the dining table. The kitchen was well equipped kitchen but as I was cooking for 8 I did end up buying a larger frying pan. So perhaps a couple of larger sized pots/pans would be helpful for large groups. (Everyone loved the fridge and the cool water dispenser was a hit in the heat too)!

The apartment was very spacious and attractively furnished, well equipped and central position.

The stairs were very steep and there were a lot of them. We did know about this on booking as the owner made us aware in the write up, but it meant that I could not access the roof terrace which was a shame, as the final step up was just too high. Maybe an extra step there would make things easier. I am not badly disabled, just elderly and not so good on my legs so the property would definitely not be suitable for anyone with more severe problems. But I appreciate this is due to the age of the property and can’t be fundamentally changed. Also the entrance to the apartment was up several sets of stairs and there was a very strong smell of mildew or dry rot in that area, but luckily not in the apartment itself.

Location right in the city centre was excellent. We all really loved the roof terrace, amazing view across the city’s roof tops. Wonderful to spend time up there altogether after my daughter’s graduation. The main bedroom with big en-suite was a winner. Living and dining areas very spacious.

The downstairs bathroom wasn’t great, toilet seat was loose. Had to stand in the shower tray to use the sink. It’s too strong to say I didn’t like it, just more of an observation.
