Location was okay It was clean

Parking was a bit tight and had to pay £10 extra to park We were on the second floor and the room was very hot It was noisy on the road and the blinds were not blackout blinds I’d bought earplugs and an eye mask which I’d say are essential if you’re a light sleeper

I stayed at 100 Banbury Rd for a weekend trip to visit Oxford with my friend. It was the perfect base, the parking meant that we could leave our cars and everything we wanted to see was within walking distance (although it would be very easy to get the bus too). There are some lovely cafes very nearby and the centre of Oxford is about a 25min walk. Oxford is a great city for a weekend trip, beautiful parks and architecture and lots of places for food and drink, we really enjoyed the Pitt Rivers museum and the Botanical Gardens. Communication with the hotel was really easy, and the same with the check in process too. The room was great value, it had everything we needed for a short stay, clean and perfectly functional, with an en-suite which was very good. We were out all the time so we just wanted it as a base so we didn’t use any of the other facilities. It’s very easy to find, on a very attractive leafy road into Oxford (it’s a main road but it wasn’t at all busy with traffic at the weekend). If I go back to Oxford I would definitely book it again!

Staff were lovely, helpful, and respectful! Everything was clean and tidy!

In a quiet suburban area about 20 minutes walk from the centre. Very near the Cherwell Boathouse, a very nice restaurant on the river. Handy for events in the area. An excellent shower.

There was no breakfast which for us was a negative feature. The immediate area doesn't have many cafes - the nearest was 10-minutes walk away which didn't suit us. There was a bit of noise from overhead footfall.
