Very considerate staff, a great location and very comfortable.
Hot breakfast could have been warmer but it was very nice.

The location is ideal for me - bus stops very close. It is warm and very welcoming and clean. I loved having a room on the ground floor! Good TV and good chair and cushion. Heated towel rail lovely.
The shower head was too high up for me to replace it at the end of my visit. Also the soap container in the shower area as stuck and I couldn't get any soap out of it!
Two biscuits would have been better than one!

The bedroom door handle (Family Room 6) was a bit noisy and slightly difficult to close.
My family stayed for two nights and booked different room types because the number of guests was different on each night. The reception staff were extremely helpful and kindly upgraded our room on the second night, so we didn’t have to move. We really appreciated that.
Everything here was lovely, clean, and comfortable. All the staff — both at reception and during breakfast — were polite and welcoming with warm smiles. We truly enjoyed our stay and would happily come back again.

It was warm, clean and tastefully decorated with a beautiful garden to look over when having breakfast. The room was very comfortable with good products and nice touch with choices of hot drinks and biscuits. Facilities were excellent, the shower was nice and hot. Books and games available for guests to use. The staff were friendly and welcoming. Fab team! Excellent location for restaurants and pubs with good food and only a short stroll into the city for all the sight seeing. Look forward to a return in the summer
Nothing it was excellent and look forward to returning with family next time

Lovely hotel, room was immaculate
Rooms at front of hotel are not double glazed so some traffic noise early in the morning

Comfortable, well-furnished room. Excellent, varied breakfast. Good info on bus times into town. Off-road parking - I was able to leave my car there until midday on the day I left.
Breakfast seemed to be all veggie. A carnivore like me would have liked some bacon!

Good value for money for what I wanted. Location was excellent with free parking! Good breakfast and facilities were fine.
There was a problem with the shower head which I reported but the staffwere already aware of it and were awaiting someone to sort it.
Issue with shower head - maybe could have been offered another room if there was one or advised that there was a problem as it was known

The hotel is a beautiful traditional Oxford house, spotlessly clean and extremely comfortable, with excellent facilities. The staff are wonderfully friendly, and the garden is absolutely lovely. It was an exceptional stay for me, and I truly enjoyed every moment.

Everything was spot on. A 20 minute walk to the city centre yet you feel like you are in a quiet village. Beautiful garden, gorgeous conservatory and cosy decor makes the whole place feel like home from home
Nothing. It is perfect.

The room was large and very light. Beds were super comfortable and the room was very clean.
Staff were helpful and very friendly
The bathroom was mouldy wouldn’t take a lot to sort out
Breakfast was not good the hot items were cold and the eggs looked green. Cheap sausage. Also a radio in the room would be ideal was deafening quiet which made it uncomfortable in there.
Also it’s a 25 min walk to town.

What an absolute fabulous hotel. Exceptional on all fronts, cleanliness, comfy, great facilities with complimentary beverages available in the room with a variety of choices. Mini fridge with drinks and snacks. Great shower, again complimentary shower gel and soaps, including comfy slippers. Amazing breakfast in a lovely conservatory with an exceptional variety of both hot and cold foods, including 3 choices of bread, waffles, pancakes, variety of yogurt, fresh fruit and cereals. Plenty of choice on the hot side, with everything for a typical English breakfast. All with plenty of teas, coffees and juices.
Staff very polite, and friendly. I left my batter charger and they contacted me immediately on finding it. Unfortunately we couldn’t collect it as we were at the train station, but they offered to post it back to me, obviously at my cost but not everyone would have offered to do that.
Absolutely nothing. I would certainly recommend this hotel and would stay again myself. It is a 25 minute walk from the centre of Oxford but we certainly didn’t mind the walk and there are obviously taxis.

We had a cooked breakfast. Wide and varied choice of breads, fruit, yogurt, croissants, cereals, fruit juices ect.
Lovely to sit in the Conservatory for breakfast whilst watching the birds in the garden.
Good idea to have extra tea, coffee milk and more in the foyer if you ran out of anything in your room.
It would have been perfect if the cooked food was hotter.

Good locations for City centre and north Oxford. Very relaxed and comfortable. Well equipped and good bathroom and shower
Car parking tight but it worked for us

The bedroom was lovely, very spacious, clean, and well designed. The bed was comfortable.
The shower is dangerous. The shower door is at a height from the bathroom floor that means it is difficult to get into and out of without stepping on some very slippery tiles. I fell in the shower because of those tiles and hit my head on the wall and arm of the shower controls, causing me to hurt my neck and arm – my neck still hurts more than 14 hours later. I am in my 20s and have never fallen over in a shower before, the design of the shower itself is unnecessarily dangerous. I was also woken up one hour before checkout by a member of staff knocking on my door. They struggled to explain why they had woken me up and seemed confused that I was in the room. And they didn't apologise for waking me up!

The breakfast was lovely, the room was big, quiet and well appointed. It's a 5 minute walk to the pub and a great Indian restaurant. Its close to a bus route but only a 15 minute walk to the centre of Oxford. We'll stay again then in Oxford.
Nothing.

Lovely hotel, great breakfast with gluten and lactose free options. Very comfortable room and convenient for Jericho. Staff absolutely wonderful.
Sash windows banged a lot in the wind. We solved this with a table mat…

Great location and easy 20 min walk into town. Staff were so friendly! They accommodated our early check in and noted the comments on the booking so we arrived to a personalised anniversary card in our room.
The hotel was so cute, the breakfast room was lovely and had a great range of breakfast items. The kettle and coffee machine in the bedroom was a lovely touch to the comfort.
Carpark is very small, only 4 to 5 spaces available

Room was spacious for 4 people. Bathroom was very nice (and warm!). Breakfast had tons of very good options and was in a very enjoyable solarium overlooking the garden. Kids had a great time watching the birds and squirrel have their breakfast as well.
Roll-a-way cot was VERY hard. Kid didn't have any trouble sleeping, but anyone older would have had an uncomfortable night.

Beautiful and spacious room. Good selection of drinks available. Modern bathroom with great shower.
The room and the hotel areas were very clean.
The entire hotel is tastefully decorated and gave us a cosy feeling. It was peaceful and quiet.
The area itself is charming. Streets filled with architectural wonders, made for a perfect autumn walk. It is laced with cafes, places to grab a bite and quirky little shops. Despite being around 25/30min walk from the city centre, I’d encourage anyone to choose this over booking loud and busy central locations.
There is free parking, and easy access to local transport links.
Nice selection of games/board games on the first floor, we played cards and dominoes in bed after a long day.
Pleasantly surprised with the breakfast. There were a lot of options, including hot/warm foods. It was all delicious. Pretty breakfast spot as well, with a view of their beautiful garden.
Polite and attentive staff. Easy check in and check out.
We liked the alcove idea, where you can pick up more room essentials, such as tea and toilet paper.
These are not negatives, merely suggestions that would make the stay even more enjoyable.
There were a lot of mirrors in the room/bathroom, but none of them suitable to sit down and do your make up/hair. A small dressing/console table with a large mirror in the room would be perfect.
There was a single chair in the room, but no small/coffee table to go with it. It would be nice to have a small table with two chairs, so that you could enjoy your hot drink and not have to worry about accidentally spilling in on the bed.

Breakfast could have been better. Otherwise everything was excellent.

Lovely staff and location. Sadly, I was in the single room, where a rather thin and worn mattress resulted in a bad back for the next week
The mattress in the single room was terrible. My back spent a week recovering.

The breakfasts were very good. The staff was VERY helpful. Our room was perfect for three of us; lots of space and bright. The security measures in place made us feel comfortable.
The soiled carpets were not a good introduction to the hotel. And every time we went for breakfast we saw them. Our rooms were so tidy and clean that it seemed a disappointment that the shared areas didn’t have that same maintenance.

It was clean and roomy and breakfast was lovely wirh plenty of choice! And great havjng a coffee machine and tea and biscuits in the room with the availability of spares downstairs was great
Need some decoration and also could do with a radio at breakfast

Location, parking and ease of access
6.0 / 10.0
We liked: That we could park at the accommodation; the location was walkable into the centre - quite a long walk but still a bonus and if we hadn't walked there are plenty of local buses; it was quiet; great idea to have a self service replenishment system for toilet rolls, teabags etc at the bottom of the stairs.
The room was cold (autumn) and took me a while to notice we had our own thermostat which did then warm up the room though I never managed to get the heating in the bathroom on so that was cold; breakfast was in the conservatory and it was cold in there at this time of year. Breakfast was very much serve yourself and nothing really worked right - toaster took an age; cooked food (no bacon and the sausages were inedibly sweet) was luke warm as was water in the thermos for tea and coffee machine was complicated for first use. Just a little interaction to help out and check all was OK really wouldv'e made a lot of difference. Staff interactions throughout were cursory.

All staff members were friendly and helpful.
We liked the variety of foods at breakfast. Enjoyed the snacks provided. The room was comfortable quiet. The hotel location was in a quiet residential area with good bus service to the city centre.
There were a couple of minor issues in our bathroom but when I contacted reception, they were dealt with immediately.

Location. Charming sun porch and garden.
Carrying luggage upstairs is harder, but reasonable.
