The view!
The very narrow and twisty road up to the property.

Breathtaking view and very nice house, set in olive groves. Comfortable beds and beautiful old interior. The pool with a view over La Spezia and the bay was idyllic, as was sitting out on the veranda in the evenings with the same view. It’s surprisingly quick and easy to drive to central La Spezia, and the Cinque Terre are easy to reach as well.
The listing on booking.com included air conditioning as a feature, but this is only in some of the apartments on the property, and not the one we stayed in. This was a problem for us during an August heatwave. The interior was very warm and it was hard to ventilate via open windows due to the mosquitoes. The small, windowless kitchen was particularly hard to be in and some basics were missing such as cooking knives, chopping board, bowls, air ventilation.

Nothing.
Staff responsiveness poor.
No network coverage, rely on WiFi.
Extremely steep road leading to the property, taxis refused going there, especially at night.
Poor property maintenance.

Everything very clean and tidy beautiful terrace with view

Beautiful views over La Spezia and impeccable grounds. Place looks exactly as described and staff was lovely.
Access road is best suited to experienced drivers. The kitchen is very basic and bedding could be upgraded. Provision of basic supplies (ie. salt, olive oil) or a simple Italian breakfast would make a stay more convenient.

Very nice apartment, exceptional view.
The drive up the hill is a little twisty and narrow towards the end.

Nice apartment with everything you need. Quiet and peaceful. Lovely view across the bay. Easy, relaxed check-in with Marta.
We were on the ground floor, so it was not quite as good a view as those on the terrace because of the hedge, but good nonetheless. You are about 2km from the centre of La Spezia, so it would take a good hour to walk back up the steep road. Car is pretty much a must.

Fantastic view, and this place gived us real Italian feeling!
The hedge could be lower for 1st floor apartments, it blocks the fantastic view of La Spezia

There might be no other location with such a perfect view over the bay of La Spezia up to the mountains of Carrara. The Appartment is very beautiful, fully equipped and in style of an old Villa building. Everything inside the appartment is working properly. Air condition is quiet and perfect on hot days. No noise of City traffic. Olive trees in the front. Very romantic place. It is the house on the highest position on this mountain. It is a save place for relaxing holidays. Really nice and recommendable. Marta, from the appartment team was very kind and helpful. Grazie per la tua support.
To be honest: If you are looking for a daily thrill, then the private road up to the appartment will be your dream. For all other we can recommend to take care and time while driving up and down the last 0.5km private road, ... in first gear only. The smaller the car, the better it is. Additionally, we recommend not to forget to bring any anti-mosquito spray.

DANGEROUS. The private road leading to the secluded house was life threatening. The width of the road hardly fit my car ( Mitsubishi SUV ), they were unsecured and uneven. Ever meter we went we were scared our car would slide off the steep mountain side. We are from Switzerland, and used to mountain streets, this was too scary for us. The street also has no lights to drive up at night, forcing you to consume dinner in the villa, baring in mind the villa offers no restaurant, so forcing you to cook every evening on vacation. We decided this was too dangerous for our family and left upon arrival. The host understood our point of view, but decided not to reimburse us anything. Totally UNFAIR behaviour.
The privat part of the road to the house is incredibly dangerous. They should not be allowed to get visitors with cars.

Excelente posto para admirar a baía de La Spezia e parte dos Alpes além. O jantar e o café da manhã na sacada foi fantástico!
Very nice place. it was great to admire the La Spezia's bay and the Alps beyond. It was great having dinner on the terrace

Beautiful patio and view.
We had booked and paid for three nights, but we left after one day. This was not the place for us, and I’m still terrified of the road up here. Don’t try that with a large car. There should absolutely been a warning about this road. We manage to drive down, but will absolutely not go up once more. The room was not as expected from the pictures. So we where left with two options- stay there two more days with very humid, no aircondition, no food and nothing to do - or leave. So we left. We were offered a new apartment in an older house, but that was out of the question. So no return of money.

it was a hard and long way to drive up, not made for every car to drive up there

The view was magnificent and we got a roomy, clean and well equipped apartment! We were received very graciously by our host.
It's nothing you can hold against the apartment, but you should be aware the road uphill can be challenging for an inexperienced driver.

-Niccoló was very resourceful, was waiting in front of the villa for our arrival. Good communication, quick reply to our SMS & emails.
-If you are willing to pay for the view, this place is awesome, you can catch sunrise & sunset from your balcony. For those who are adventurous like us, the road to the villa is steep, very narrow with full of sharp turns.
The villa needs TLC/improvement:
-the glass of one of the panoramic window is severely broken
-2 lamps were damaged & never repaired, the shower frame is broken (was replaced by a shower curtain)
-only 1 soap "fit all" (shower, hair, hand). FYI, this isn't the 1st Italian air b&b that we've booked on this trip.

Very busy time to be here so I was a little worried about being so far from center with no car. Our host Paulo came to our rescue picking us up from the train station and also dropping us off to go to supermarket. Thank you so much for making La Spezia memorable. The view was fantastic and I enjoyed having a chance to cook too. We'll equipped with everything you need.
There are a joining apartments a d our neighbours needed to walk in front to access their accommodation. Not too much of a problem as they were respectful of our privacy.

view and teracce was very good
very quiet place besides the crickets 😉
no mosquito nets
house was 30degree warm during night which was very difficult for us to sleep well, ceiling fans would solve this problem since standing fans do not cover full room well...
sofa bed was not comfortable

The view is magnificent. The apartment is of the right size
Some.of the provided towels were not cleaned well and stained with something. When asked for a change they were immediately changed to be fair. We were informed in the provided slides that we have access to a washing machine. When we asked the staff they promised to show us the day after and it did not happen. Called again and this time round we were explained where it is but on checking it the room was locked, so we could not use it. Finally, no one welcomed us at arrival. 10 mins spent with the customer goes a long way

The surrounding and view was really nice! The apartment was clean and the area is very quiet.
This apartment is situated up a mountain/hill area few miutes away from the city. The road to get up there is very narrow and the turns going uphill can be intimidating. It is better to take a small car.

Amaizing wiev. Clean, tidy. Very small kitchen. But with every equipment. The sun rises wonderfully over the mountains.
There is no restaurant within walking distance.

The view is absolutely stunning on the harbor of La Spezia. The apartment is cute and we can almost put our luggages and enjoy the stay. The bathroom is nice. It's simple and great. What a blessing to have the breakfast on the terrasse with the view ! It was very warm but the fact that the flat is located in altitude is nice : fresh air all time !
You need a small car as the road to go at the appartement is quite challenging. The wifi is not perfect but considering we are on the top of the hill for vacations it was not a problem for us. Also they are several appartements : obviously depending on the type of neighbors it can be quiet or less... We were lucky to have quite nice neighbors !

Amazing view from the terrace onto the La Spezia gulf and Carrara mountains in the background. The apartment offered great shaded terrace that has been excellent to use during sunny days.
I feel that the owner need to reset his expectations for price comparing to the quality. The host, Paolo has been great in contact and provided almost immediate responses to any questions, but he has not been honest with us. I specifically asked him to show some kitchen pictures that are not present in portfolio of the pictures for the apartment. He did not provide and after our arrival it has been apparent why… the kitchen is very small (one person), blind (no windows), sink is impossible to drain due to water drainage being above the bottom of the sink. Dishwasher is not fixed to the furniture and has tendency to fall forward when removing or insetting dishes. Equipment in the kitchen is very used, but there are lots of plates and glasses. The apartment is offering one, small wardrobe and one very old chest of drawers, so it has been challenging to unpack there people. The other problem with the apartment is the bed, extremely hard mattresses (there are two). The other is sofa that is very squeaky. The bathroom that is functional, but does not offer any shelves to put your stuff on. Equipment on the terrace is very used (pilling paint on the chairs, the sun beds folding mechanisms broken). There is also problem with noise coming from above apartment. It has hard floors and any furniture move or something dripping is very well heard in your bedroom. We had young family above with small child playing with hard objects on the floor from 6am… thanks God they left after first day of our stay. Last but not least is access to the apartment. It is very steep and narrow - not for every driver. Also access to the parking through curb that does not allow safe dive through if long vehicle like mine - scratching bottom of my car. I do have to admit that Paolo has allowed me to park closer to the house where I didn’t have that problem. All in all, I don’t think the quality offered by the apartment is adequate to the price.

The property was impeccable. Very clean and grand.
I am terrified of mountain roads that are windy. But I think that’s only peculiar to me.
