The property seems to be family owned and seemed to be run a bit slap dash. The pictures online have had some photo shopping and first impressions were a bit of a letdown. Staff were thin on the ground and some were inexperienced in hospitality. The room was clean and tidy, although we did look in a suite which looked really nice so I would suggest you book one of these if you go. Excellent breakfast and food at the bar at night was excellent. Big up to the chef.
The hotel is well located to travel out to different areas of Exmoor and beyond. 8 / 10 if I was being honest.

The Bath Hotel and the Lynmouth town are delightful. The hotel, the town and the local people are quirky, chatty and friendly. We arrived in Lynmouth as the Steampunk parade was shutting down. The people were very friendly and willing to tell us all about the parade and its history, and to recommend places to visit. The hotel staff were also very friendly and helpful. It is certainly a great place to stay.

Staff at the hotel were warm and friendly. They couldn’t have done more to make us and our 2 dogs feel welcome.
Breakfast was great. Food very fresh and plenty of choices.
The hotel location is perfect and within easy reach of everything that Lynmouth and Lynton has to offer.
We will definitely be returning.

The Bath hotel is a lovely period hotel with a great team in a superb location. Me and my wife had a lovely stay and enjoyed our 3 days. The breakfast is of a really good standard along with the service from the local team. We also used the bar next door which is worth a visit. We stayed in a quirky double which was more than suitable for our break and well serviced throughout our stay. We had never stayed in Lynmouth before albeit we will certainly return!
