Rising Sun Hotel

we stayed for a couple of nights on a B&B basis. Staff were very welcoming on arrival. The room, although standard, was very nice and well equipped. Bed linen was of a high standard and the bed was comfy. Shower and towels all very good. We ate in the restaurant on both nights and the food was very good. The two young ladies serving in the restaurant were excellent. The only small negative was the service at breakfast. The chap working both mornings was not particularly friendly, was disorganised and the service was very very slow. There is a small buffet (cereal/yoghurt/fruit/croissant) to choose from which is followed by an option from the hot menu (this was all very nice) but we missed out on the hot option on the first morning as we waited 25 minutes before we were asked what we would like. Coffee is self service from the buffet but tea has to be requested from your server. We were not offered tea on the first morning but did finally request it on the second. Milk is not served to your table with the tea pot - you have to take your tea cup to the buffet table. it is a minor inconvenience but nevertheless I think if these small issues could be fixed then it would be excellent all round.
