Toilet constantly running, weird elevator using room key, dirty overall, very smokey smell

Initial impression when checking in, was the clerk couldn’t be bothered. She ran my card told me I was on the other side of the casino and that was basically it. She didn’t even tell me that we didn’t need to be in Bally’s parking garage - another clerk did after we found out we weren’t even in the right part of the hotel. That we actually had to drive around to the other side. The room was decent, clean and roomy.

We were rudely awakened by a fire alarm on Saturday morning. There was an electrical fire at the hotel. There were no protocols in place once you walked down the stairs and exited the building. Josh at the front desk was amazing and accommodating for our 1-night stay. Absolutely amazing customer service. Thank you, Josh!

The romm was clean but had a few issues that needed to be addressed. The shower and wardrobe doors wouldn’t close completely. Staff responded promptly and took care of them. All staff were friendly and helpful.

It was extremely overpriced for the condition of the property, in my opinion. Needs updating and remodeling. I see that housekeeping did an excellent job with what they have to work with though. Cavanaughs Prime Rib and Filet Mignon were delicious. The musician there was great.

Two suggestions. Casino's are supposed to be open 24 hours. At 5:00 A.M. you cannot get anything to eat or even a cup of coffee. Holiday Inn Express is better. Also, the smoke smell is overwhelming on all floors. We had sore throats for several days. We go to Las Vegas often and the big casinos don't have this horrendous smoke smell. Also, the Steak house was horrible. The chicken piccata for my wife was tasteless. The steak was overcooked although the string beans were excellent. The bread at Cheesecake factory was much better and the steak at Longhorns was much better than your steakhouse. It really was an inferior restaurant.

The hotel itself the carpets are filthy wallpaper coming off the walls. Just desperately need a good refurbished. Casino was fun but machines very tight, drinks were horrible watered down for the price was shocking. No poured drinks all from gun. Band was great and the food was very good.

The room wasn’t cooling down, no matter how much I turned down the air. Also, I waited almost 45 minutes for my room to be cleaned. I reserved my room before the other members in my party who mostly got the same kind of room I did, and they got their room first. I also checked in first.
