Nice room good food
Being woke up in the middle of the night from a false fire alarm. Zero communication from the staff on what’s going on. Won’t be returning

Very nice property! Extremely convenient for access to the Ford Center! Very large property with a restaurant and bar, and a Starbucks connected. Overall a great stay!
Was a little hard to find where to go from the parking garage. Housekeeping was kicking on the door around 8 but check out wasn’t until 12.

Distance and connection from Ford Center.
Decent room, poor lighting in bathroom. Wife had issues seeing to put on makeup and do hair.
Dead bolt would lock so just had to lock the little flap.
Water knob in shower was too heavy or doesn’t have enough resistance so it will fall from where you set it. Next thing you know you’re being scalded or froze to death.

The atmosphere, decor, and cleanliness were all great.
You also get a great grey parking garage view with most of the rooms, too. So nice, yeah.
They have an awesome pool but it's closed for the season right now.
I am supposed to be writing what I liked but the only thing was that it is a hotel, it was clean. So it met the basic expectation for a hotel. All of the little things I liked about staying at a hotel were not good here, though.
booking.com will sell you this location with breakfast but the hotel does not honor it.
The pool is only open during the summer.
The bored staff at the tiny restaurant area stare at you when you walk by and there is no avoiding it as they are on the way to the only elevator.
I think I just severely dislike breakfast games. To be clear, I now know I only want hotels that offer that good ole' continental complimentary breakfast. This hotel does not; it is a $16 buffet with three items to choose from. And the hotel will not honor that you paid for breakfast through booking.com and booking.com says to send an invoice for reimbursement.
I didn't like that in my experience. It is really booking.com's fault as I wouldn't have expected free breakfast. They put that it my head.
So what I don't like about this hotel is basically what I don't like about booking.com now, too.

Beds were very comfortable.
Room had trash left in it from whomever stayed there last. Shower wasn't cleaned and still had bar soap left from previous person and pink scum all over the shower. Lock was broken on sliding glass door, missing 2 screws. For the price we paid it wasn't worth it. They had no other rooms like ours and kept saying because we went through a third party they couldn't help us on pricing.

Great location, everything was clean
The refrigerator was completely broken in our room, which normally isn’t a problem but we had dinner leftovers we put in there that went bad which was disappointing. The breakfast the next morning was not worth the money. It was a pretty sad excuse for continental breakfast.

Location. We went to the Old National Bank for a concert. It was so nice just to walk in the sky walk. But one thing there should be signs in the hotel how to get to it. Staff was friendly. Even all the guest we passed were friendly.
Usually I don't complain, but the toilets need to be upgraded. They are very low to the ground. I am short and had problems, I could just imagine someone over 5 8 thinking they are going way down to the floor.

Quiet
When i checked out, there was a bar charge of 24 on my bill. We did not use the bar. Now i see why they asked if i wanted a receipt, which i said yes. I myself always get a hotel receipt they shouldn't even have to ask. She took off the charge, however with an attitude that i in turned checked her on. This was our second time here and our last.. i do not like shady stuff like this at all. Get a receipt from here and check your charges because i think the employees and using guest numbers to run up charges. There was no one else around when we checked in. Watch out

Great location when attending any downtown events. We love that you can use the skywalk to get back and forth from the Ford Center.
There isn’t a continental breakfast. The bathrooms need more lighting.

It was connected to the concert venue which was very convenient. The bedding was clean and for the most part the room was too. There was somehting gross on the bathroom doorhandle and very dusty behind the bed side table. I had to plug something in and noticed that.
The noise!! I was in room 437. It sounded like someone had tennis shoes in a dryer and some noisy pipes all night long. On and off very frequently. I didn't sleep much at all.

The front desk was generally nice, how ever the room was far from clean and i am a non confrontational person, so I did not say anything at property other wise I would’ve asked for a refund land found somewhere else to stay.
Cleanliness of room, also an extremely loud alarm went off while we were napping and put it is in a panic we ran down the stairs and asked the front desk about it and they gave us no explanation

The pool was great, staff was nice, and the air conditioning was great.
The check in cookies were hard, no microwave in room, not even a half roll of toilet paper when we got in the room and took 2 calls and almost an hour to get a new roll. No tubs so only showers and lastly there was only a small fridge so dont expect to fit a lit in it.

I love the room
My husband asked about the cookies at check in and I told him what cookies. He explained, I thought surely I was not overlooked at check in. Found out I was forgotten, told my husband Dbl Tree only does that on special occasions. So he went to the store heated a cookie in microwave and gave it to me to eat while he changed our flat tire

The bed was very firm and not comfortable.

The only pro to staying here is the sky walk to get to the Ford Center for a concert/event but even then… it’s not worth the price. Pay the $17.50 for their parking garage and stay somewhere else.
Shoot… guess I’ll start at the beginning and I will say, I’ve been to over 27 states in the US multiple times and this is by far the worst hotel I have ever stayed at ( and I’ve had to stay in some lower end , sketchy ones ). We got there around 2pm because we knew check in was at 3pm so we killed time in between so our room would be ready after a long night of driving… HA, room wasn’t ready till nearly 3pm. Which, the lady then did apologize and told us she would not charge us for parking ( which, we greatly appreciated ) We get to the room and it is beyond dirty and gross… I can only share some pics but I have MANY. ( finger prints/ stains on TV screen, stains on the bed skirts, stains on the arm chair, stains on the curtains, PUPE / unknown hair in the bed… under the pillows, dust on the lights, by the fridge and honestly the list goes on ) well I have never had to complain but this was way too gross, once I seen the hair in the bed I was done. I can deal with dust but that’s crossing a line… we went to the front desk and didn’t even unpack our stuff yet. Showed her just a couple of the pictures and all she could offer is moving us to another room ( my ex sister n law is a hotel manager and told me they should of given me my nights or at least one night free but HA ) so we took the other room because we was exhausted and frustrated. Plus no breakfast included with the price… a lady from the concert line said ONE shot at the bar was $18. Many in the elevator was complaining about how biscuits & gravy is $14… the price is NOT worth what you’re getting. Legit the only pro was the sky walk to the venue and then some of the staff was friendly but honestly, stay somewhere else, drive and park in the garage for $17.50 or maybe less since it’s not a full day and save your money. I don’t ever leave bad reviews but this had to be shared.
Ps - get better housekeepers that care!

Our room was dirty. Taco Bell left behind the side table and lots of crumbs on the floor. The room itself was beautiful and had lots of room . Perfect location for the ford center. The restaurant food was amazing at dinner time.

Staff, excluding who I conplained to
Matress in Room #416 was very worn. The coffee Station in the Room was virtually empty. The Shower Gel was Empty.

Location, cleanliness.
Literally had to wait an hour for our room to be ready AFTER the posted check-in time. When we asked after waiting an hour, they just moved us to a clean room instead of waiting on ours. Seems like their process for assigning rooms needs work.

I had no complaints about the stay, very happy with the trip.

Had to pay for parking and breakfast. 17 dollars a day for parking is ridiculous. 18 dollars per person for breakfast is too much

Stayed here for the Total Solar Eclipse on 4/8/24 and it was a perfect location. Wished we had known about the heated pool because then we would have brought our swimming clothes. It was obviously a premium weekend so the cost was high and breakfast busy but I thought they managed everything very well.

Parking was very efficient.
There was not enough staff checking in guests for Friday afternoon when there was a large event at the Ford Center. There was only one and there was a long line.

Large clean rooms
The only staff friendly was the maids & bartender. When checking in didn’t give us any information. Just handed us the keys. Didn’t even let us know room # or anything.

It was close to the event.
The staff was not friendly. The room was not cleaned. The bathroom looked like they started to clean it and stopped and never came back. The bed had blood on it and the sheets were dirty. Didnt complain because the staff was rude on arrival. So we just did the best we could with what we had and let as soon as we woke up the next morning. Would never stay there again. It’s not a clean place. Very disappointed.

Sky bridge to the ford center gave us quick access to the concert and there’s a nice bar in the lobby.

Being in and out of Evansville my whole life, it was nice seeing a hotel, a Jude hotel, built in that neighborhood. It’s proof that downtown is slowly creeping.
With the library across the street, a late night cigarette can lead to confrontations with the transients, local unhoused, and the more colorful mentally ill. Be aware of your surroundings if outside around the property at night.

I checked into my room that I had booked under my name and used my credit card. I left the hotel and my room keys fell out of my pocket. When I returned and I had realized my keys were gone I went to the front desk where the night desk manager was and told him what happened and showed him my drivers license and politely requested anew key he told me I dont have a room there and to leave or he would call the police. I told him that if he wont give me a key than can he escort me to my room so I can pack up and would go find a new hotel. He said very loud that i dont have a room and he called the police. I told him it was room 466. He refused to look at my confirmation email from the hotel. So I was afraid he had stolen my things so I called 911. At this point my husband walked up to the desk and ask what was the hold up bc he was checking work stuff on his phone sitting in one of the lounge chairs. I filled him in. He looked at the manager and told him to give me a key right now to my room. At this point the police showed up. I was telling the police officer what happened and my husband was at that point given my room key and the manager took off running around to the back and never returned. We asked the police officer to stay so we could go check our room first. We weren't sure if the manager had stolen all if our things or what exactly was going on. We went to our room and our things were all there and the police officer left. We did stay the night but I hardly slept. Early the next morning we packed up and went to the front desk. There was a different person there and ex plained what happened and that we were so upset and felt we couldn't trust the staff at this point that we felt we needed to leave. He apologized and comped our room. It was a horrible experience and because if it will never ever stay at doubletree ever again. Their staff just isnt trained enough in customer relationships at all.

Woke up this morning with no hot water for showers. Would greatly appreciate a refund of some kind for the inconvenience.

The room was clean and liked the restaurant and bar. The staff was friendly and very helpful with any accommodations we needed.
I didn't like that. I was told I needed an extra $50 deposit on top of the amount of my bill. When I called the day before to confirm my reservation and confirm my total & was never told about the deposit. I have stayed at other Hilton and was never told that.
