Santa's Igloos Arctic Circle

The staff were not rude. So it's more about the facility being built more to cater for family with kids not for couple or adult having fun imo. Heard from others that their ceiling heater stopped working entirely, which I am grateful that it works well for my room. Since I dont use it much anyway due to half of them being blocked and the main building light obstructing the needs to take photo from inside the room. :')

The weather were quite cloudy and rainy so the chances of seeing starlit night or northen light were low. So I requested earlier that I wanted a room with good view. As per them all room has good view but it ended up that half of my room view is blocked by a tree. And the location being close to the office means the spotlight/building light were even more disturbing considering you can't off them and the tree reflects the light from there, esp when u try to take picture to see if you can see northen light. The staff attitude were alright but they said all other room were full so they couldnt change for us. However I can see my neighbouring room being unoccupied for few nights and it seems that they didnt bother to entertain us to ensure we have a good time. Especially since we paid the stay on premium (this is on late November). Overall in this aspect we never get to hear the so-called Northen light alarm work even once, although I get to take some Aurora photo (only) outside the room (have to walked out some distance in the snow all thanks to them giving me such a room w "nice view") To take dinner at nearby restaurant it can only be done through reservation throught their online tablet, which didnt work once and they said they never receive the message. Shouldnt they include the confirmation in the tablet if that is the only way to make reservation? It is difficult to plan things around including dinner time since the igloo is a good distance away from the SCV. And we often have to wait quite long. Breakfast and dinner were both so-so. We tried food from Rovaniemi town and SCV and they were tastier. The toilet design is quite bad as the shower area were not properly separated from the dry area, so the water will kind of flood to other area of toilet and the flooring design wont make them flow away, which causes inconvenience that requires yourself to "sweep" the water away.

Main dishes were included for dinner, they dropped our bags off when we arrived, the staff was so kind, they had candy and water at the front desk, the breakfast was great, they called us a large car when needed for a fair price, they had a large crib for our baby, they gave us a toy for her

Everything was great, including the food and all the staff were fantastic and friendly 😀 Will come back again, but next time in winter .

The only one was that the dinner was the same every night.one little thing is that the mattress in my room needs to be replaced as the springs on one side were broken.

Lovely rooms with a romantic setting. Walking distance to Santa Claus village.

The igloos were a little closer to each other than I envisioned, but they were still private.

A bonus was watching the Finnish Airforce jets out our glass igloo every morning... Breakfast was great. Felt safe to wander around. Saw northern lights first week of April. It was spectacular.

English speaking TV in our room would have been nice, but no problem. It was unseasonably warm, so our snow mobile adventure got cancelled. But, could not be helped. Got a full credit. Everyone was very kind that we booked adventures with.

We came for a birthday celebration at the very end of March/ beginning of April. it was such a cute location minutes from Santa’s Village. Since we were at the end of the northern lights season, we weren’t sure we would see anything, but boy we’re we surprised! it was the most beautiful thing and we were able to experience it from our room and walking for less than a mile around the grounds. the staff were super friendly and then even celebrated my birthday with me! would highly recommend!

THE LOCATION.

The room were actually smaller than the picture.

It is nice to try it , but actually not as i expected , i expect more for example expected bed more comfortable and larger room. Staff was kind nice to try it .

Everything was perfect...

Staff working at the restaurant was rude. It might be worth the price if the sky is clear and you can see the Aurora, but during our stay we couldn’t see anything.

Not worth the money . Check in 4pm check out 11am - don’t even get 24 hours ! A small table was set with what we thought was a”complimentary tray”, our little boy opened the reindeer chips , but nope - not complimentary ! 8.50 Euros .They were the drinks and snacks from the mini bar in igloo , . why set them out ?? !! My husband explained to reception and she just shrugged her shoulders and said you owe 8.50 Euros. At breakfast had to ask for water twice , food was not replenished quick enough,hanging around waiting on baskets , trays to be filled . Shame really as igloo and location is fab .

the location is good if the main purpose is to see Santa, otherwise better option with similar price else where in rovaniemi

unlike the other articHotels, no snow shoes and winter cloths available at the hotel no flexibility for food ( diner ) some staff a little rude. igloo is good with the sauna option but view from the glass igloo are pointless. for the price, no good

It is extremely close to the Santa's village, so you can walk within less than 5 minutes. The room was amazing and a very unique experience: we had views to the forest and the whole sky (and could press a button to defrost the glass). We had the opportunity to use the sauna inside our cottage, definitely recommend it! There as complimentary robe and slippers, and a tablet to contact reception/check weather.

We asked for a double bed and we got 2 individual beds put together, which was not very comfortable if you sleep with your partner. The TV was not working properly: it turned off every few seconds. Maybe they could offer sleighs or a method to bring the suitcases from reception to your cottage, so you don't have to carry them through the snow.
